On a good note, we have alot of testers more than willing to help test things out once they are in beta which should make development go quickly once we enter our developement cycle for it.
Today's excuse

No sarcasm at all, first beta was released over a year ago and nothing has changed due to other projects.

What if we paid an engineer as a community to decode this pcm give us a rudimentary GUI to use and have it reassemble in a manner that could be flashed in by our supportless F'in HPT module or similar flash device (tunercatobd2?)
How much would it cost? anyone know someone capable? Hell maybe somone should Email TC from tunercat to ask him if he'd be interested.

The funniest part is that they actually bothered to post and put us on some BS list (by the way I was never emailed back, wonder why?) to make it seem like they were doing something about it.
They were " a thinkin' bout it" and thats about it.
"devlopement takes time" well first you have to spend some on it. The shelf doesn't do a stitch for developement.

Google 'Shark Edit.' They seem to have something for all BMW's, including the TT DI 335's, which use a similar Bosch ECU. Maybe they could help out.

I tried contacting them before, first they'd need an ecm to take apart. And since i didnt have a spare one that was the end of that.

How much does another ECM cost?

I know I'd put a few bucks out there if we had a guarantee from those guys that they will complete it in a timely manner.

After doing my research, "Shark Edit" has a history of running late as well. Oh well, never mind then.

If you are really after this then contact the European folks who have been inside of this ECM for awhile. Be aware that they have a completely different model then the US folks.

Also that there is RSA crypto at work here designed to keep folks out of the code as well.

It cost Hahn $10k to get his BSR tune made. From what I understand it has it's own OS completely.

Would someone from Canada be interested in developing the product. It is obvious that someone from up north has more tables than HPT is allowing us. I know it works with the HPT interface also.

I cannot say enough how disappointed I am on this platform with the HPT product.

I keep nudging HP and Wester's. Alot of people want a 2008 tune, but Lyndon can't get to it for other projects and lack of a car. Realistically, I don't expect alot from HPT but with what we have and Wester's Race tune, the combo is a good launching point for further pushing the envelope in conjunction with a larger turbo. When I get time, I'll install the MSD pump booster and get some race gas. I wish I had unleaded race gas close.
