I have a new ECM in hand from gmpartsdirect.com - No VIN Required. No sure how long this channel will be open. It took about a week to process the order and a couple days for shipping. Total price was a little under $350 delivered. I guess I will sit on it for a while (if I can), I want to get a few more miles on the car before going for the new tune.
Whats the ECM part number to order? I know its other places on the forum but as I recall I think gmpartsdirect labels it oddly (ie not ECM). Im not sure how Im going to go with a tune yet but it sounds like nows the time to buy before you cant get them anymore.
EDIT: IN particular Im referring to the part number for an 07 GXP ECM.

Here you go:
12605038
I pulled my ECM just to make sure something was not different. It is something like $346 with shipping.
So can you just get this ECU from gmpartsdirect and send it to Lyndon? I recall seeing some discussion about whether or not it has to be programmed by GM somehow for your vehicle first?

I'm a little behind here but this ecu sounds too good to be true, what does the westers tune cost, with such and inexpensive ecu I might do a tune too?

For anyone interested, I just started a thread to sell a used 2008 GXP ECM (Bosch) for $150. Here's the link:

Thanks, spider. Yes, mcurrier, I meant 2008. The part was advertised as a 2007, but after I picked it up and checked the part number, I discovered (with Forum help) that it was a 2008 ECM.
