Does the rear valance come with it just like the one in the picture with the exhaust?

Norm makes the facia, you can order them through Jeff if you are having the exhaust installed there.

Critterman is correct. If you order the system through Jeff at SOLO, he includes the fascia in the price, and he gets it from Norm.

I know it would have been major surgery but too bad it couldn’t be like the original concept:

I wish also, but above that top tailpipe it a foam bar, which goes from one side of the car to the other and it looks like it is attached to the body. If removed, it would no longer function (I'm guessing it's a sound deadening material). The pipe would also have to sit right where Norms fascia and the rear bumper meet. If you look at the concept car, the rear was one solid piece with no lip.

That is what I was thinking all along...then once thats done we need someone to do a seamless complete front hood/nose/grill assembly like the concept to match!!!! I just love the concept... the front end especially....no frickin seam running thru the headlights...

If you look at this picture, you can see what would be in the way and have to be removed. Ufortunately, when they make concepts, they dont use a finalized design and appearance is usually their first priority. I think the foam piece in the attached photo is for safety, and there is really not much room behind it in term of clearance to get pipes up there. I would think it would be very expensive and maybe jeopardize some of the safety on the back end by removing that foam piece that absorbs impact. We tried to bring you as close a solution and design to the concept as feasably possible, and also a kit that people could buy without having to do major surgery on the body. I really think that we accomplished this with great success. Wait till you see this in person. I have gotten some compliments on specifically the exhaust from three people driving by in the last 2 days. That says something for the work of SOLO and Norm.

Oh, I totally understand ...don't get me wrong I love your solution...it looks so much more exotic and sexier than the concept. I just got a brain flash!!!!! The only way the concept look could probably feasibly be done is with a "dummy" (non-functional) upper with a single functional lower. Based on your stripped down pic ....I believe that may work. You still may have to trim a little bit of the foam away just enough for the dummy horn. The dummy horn would simply be welded to the lower horn for support.

Yea I definitely see what you mean with the dummy pipe. The sound would be different with only one pipe functional, though. I have to say, even right now with this setup, the top functional pipe is about an inch away from the foam as is...maybe even less than that. The diffuser covers that up.

Looking at your picture of that orange-like Solstice concept, I would love to see that one piece front end. It looks so much better. I also have always loved the recessed wheels on that car. I have yet to find a wheel that looks like that. I have only seen those on the Prowler, which do not have the same bolt pattern as our car. I wonder if we would have an issue with clearance of the brakes with those larger recessed wheels also, but they do look off the hook, especially if they were powdercoated black!

I used VHT Nite-Shades to black out the taillights.

Hey Spikey,

Great look. I have been talking with Jeff at Solo a lot about doing the stacked system like yours. I just purchased the Mach system and it is great. However, I do like your look, but am trying to keep mine subtle at the same time. My car is mean yellow and lowered with SSR Type C RS wheels. Jeff's concern is that with my car being lowered, the valence, not the exhaust, might touch the ground at some point with speed bumps, etc. Your car looks to be stock ride height-is there any way you could measure the distance from the bottom of your valence to the ground, and maybe even from the bottom of the lower pipe to the ground as well? I think your car looks great, but I didn't want the fins on the valence, and Jeff says Norm won't do one without them. Is there any way you could PM me so we could discuss the issues? I work at night so won't be able to check mail until tonight after work. Anything you could do would be great. My car has all of the badges removed except the front ones, and I just wanted it clean. I could then go into more detail about my thoughts and put yours together. Maybe I can make it work then. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again.

Sent you a PM

FYI,
The bottom of the lower tip sits 7 inches from the ground on a non-lowered car. That is plenty of room to clear speed bumps. The bottom of the fascia sits at the same height of the lower tip because it has a small cutout to accommodate the room needed for the tip.
