The IC will flatten the torque curve and add some low end, over all hp was about a 10 hp difference, when Go-N def and I dyno'd on the same day with the same tune and exhaust, I had the Dejon he was stock. You can see as much difference from the wastegate mod. I believe the Dejon IC allows you to adjust the wastegate out farther before you get knock I think that is where the HP gain came from.
So i'd be able to run Westers tune/Dejon IC/ + adjust my wastegate rod and be fine? I have an 08, i can still adjust the rod, right?

Personally, I don't think you need to/should adjust the rod with a tune. Adjusting the WGA rod is a mechanical way of allowing more boost. The tune ups boost to 23 lbs or so, and is tuned with that in mind. If you start overriding that, in my mind, the tune won't be optimized...
Actually 292 RWHP is about 350 BHP at the crank\flywheel.

I think the rod adjustment gives quicker boost...some of the tunes are done with the rod mod in mind

I think how quickly boost comes on could also be controlled by the computer... I seem to recall another thread where a vendor had it coming on too quick, and so the cuise control acted in a "surging" manner...
Torque is what you want, and with our cars it is there pretty early in the low RPM's and stays pretty much in there all the way to 5300 RPM.
The trick is to keep it past the 53000 and closer the 7000 RPM.

Those are good numbers! The wastegate mod is certainly fine with the Westers tune, he was the one who came up with the mod in the first place. We have noticed that without a larger intercooler the wastegate mod can cause knock if it is adjusted to far. Mine is set at about 3 threads from the end and no knock, I might be able to add more but haven't bothered.

Unless you are going to use your car as a generator the crank number is totally useless, all that matters it what gets to the ground, but you are correct.

Do any of you know if Lyndon is working on the 26psi tune for the 08, like he just did for the 07's?
