Thanks! Exactly spot on. I managed to get the inside nut off for reference but knowing the spec size is good. I think getting a thin walled 10mm deep socket to torque this thing would be better than a short handled open-end wrench too. Now, I wonder where to get this thing...It looks to be stainless. A Marine supply might be my first stop.

(Edit)
Napa didn't have them, nor did a normally well stocked hardware store....But Lowes had them in stainless as a five pack. Good to go.

Did the mod today. I saw one spike of 21 PSI highest I had seen before that was 17 (prior to mod). You really have to keep your eyes on the tach after this mod because it really zooms to redline before you know it.

I've made this mod as well, but the application of boost is not smooth at all, actually spikes up to 17lbs(around 3000rpm), then drops off and comes back to 17lbs at around 4500rpm. Do you see the same, or is it just me? -- anyone else experiencing this?

I see that the boost comes on way before it did before I could actually drive very carefully without any boost coming on. I can't seem to do that now. I have only driven the car once since making the change but I did not experience what you are talking about.

I believe that is about the time GM start it to put Loctite on the Wastegate Rod, maybe yours was build earlier and thus did not have the change.
