So far I have seen about 3 GXP's, 1 Cobalt SS, and 1 Sky Redline post about a bent valve and low compression in a cylinder.

Lets hope this isn't a common issue that's starting to pop up with our engine.
How many miles did you have on it when the problem showed up? Any evidence that its a failure in the variable valve timing devices?

The low compression in cylinder #1 with a bent valve happened at about 10,300 miles.

No idea what failure it is because I dropped it off at the dealer and they just sent the engine to a machine shop so they don't even really know.

If your car is cold blooded in Summer, if is going to be a real mess in the Winter. Bluntly put, the tune is not good. Lyndon has sent me one of many tunes (actually it was for someone else's car) that was "cold blooded". He then sent me a modified version, and all was well again with PLENTY of power.

We just downloaded our latest tune for the stock program onto Hooser GXP's car. The boost ran between 20 & 22psi until high rpm on Sat. Dogtale has an 08 GXP with the GMP tune and ran 19-21psi Tuesday. These boost pressures were obtained with the same AEM 0-35psi Boost gauge 'T'd into the IAT2 hose. Hooser GXP has not encountered any error codes or driveability problems.

Neither car has a waste-gate mod or other power adders.

Could you send me the info on how to contact werks, I got the engine down to the block and when I get back together I think I will go with Werks, I have a BSR but they don't recommend the intercooler or intake pipe change and I want them. jonesy

Mine has the same problem, 35 PSI on #1 with 13498 miles. The car has been to the shop at least 12 times and spit out 4 lifters at 5100 miles. Getting it redone right now at a local speed shop, no warrenty!!!! jonesy
