Our web page will soon be updated with our solstice product line and it will be a resource for everyone looking for info. For the meantime, feel free to PM me or call me directly at MBRP Performance Exhaust. I would be happy to help and I can get any info you may be looking for.

the tips on your stainless steel exhuaust is perfect. thing i havent seen:

1) A catback with just a resonator and no muffler like the stainless steel you pictured (lots of different size resonator out their to change te pitch of the exhaust)

2) Side exit exhaust that would go through both sides of the car like some mustangs and vipers. (their would be less piping to make the car all around lighter) if you make this you cold also offer sideskirts so the exhaust goes right through it. would cost more but would look bad ass. if i had paintshop i would post a modded pic

3) start selling stuff.

what other products are you thinking about offering? i have a lot more of opinions on what should be made for this car.

Keep em coming! We're working on getting our systems out as soon as possible and then working on new ideas as demand requires. There will be some new polished stainless steel trim pieces available as well.

It would definitely look unique and probably sound awesome. Not sure how practical it would be because there is not much clearance under these cars let alone trying to run another 2 1/2" lower (under pipes). We'll see what happens.

i think if you ran the side exit pipes you would have to change the tips to be rectangle or like the sky pipes. worth a try though. good luck i just want to see a nice stainless with one resonator and no muffler lol i cant stress this one enought...

I love to think about exhaust. So, bare with me.

I for one, would like to see this on a Kappa car. I was thinking a cutout before cat dumping out the fender would be ultra neat, but sure to be problematic and a huge effort. A full time system that wasn't too loud....like the SLR would be a pretty thing for sure if not practicle.

I admit that I am a side pipe fan. Whether it be a simple Nascar style side exit or a monster set of side pipes off an early big block Vette. But I wonder if enough people would want it. In the forums I visit, there are only a token few that go for it and that includes a Monte Carlo forum. It might just be because nobody offers a decent side setup? Clearance would sure be an issue. I have never looked close enough to be able to say if I think it would work or not. Even with space saving parts, clearance would be tight for sure.

Your avatar is an NA car. Do you have the turbo car? Cause no muffler on an NA car would be defening.

My system is plenty loud. I'm actually worried that the HF cat/DP will make it too loud or change the sweet quality of the sound. It's my understanding that straight through mufflers are better described as resonators as apposed to a typical chambered muffler. I am curious to know if my system is lighter than stock. My guess is that it is.

I would think you have some serious weight reduction. That factory muffler was HUGE. But you're right about the N/A's, it would be extremely loud.

SrtRich: Do you drive the car daily? Road trips at all?

on my old SRT-4, the stock exhaust was dual 2.25 from the y pipe with dual resonators, NO Muffler, When I upgraded to a Borla system, 2.5 from the Y 3 from the cat-back, it was also a no Muffler system with dual resonators. Sounded absolutely awesome though there was some drone at highway speeds that could get old on a long trip, but around town LOVED IT. I would really like to see something like that for the Solstice, though side pipes would also be very tempting

the borla had one large resonator on it that sounded bad ass but the drone in srts on most of the different exhausts i had were due to the tail pipe section. i dont think it will be as much of an issue with this car because both pipes can be run individually to the tips.

also red solstices are the fastests lol jk jk just bringing some srtforums memories back....

You are right...we have engineered these systems not to have the annoying drone. The exhaust note is still noticeably louder than stock, but it won't be hammering your eardrums on long trips.

If we could get enough clearance with some of norms skirts something like this would look cool.

Lake pips just don't seem right on a 4cyl....

That said, i'm stoked to see this a Y-pipe design. At first i wasn't too stoked on the CF, sportbike resonators but the sound is great. I really need to find a Y-design that incorporates some sort of resonator to lower the DBs of a full open system.

i drive my car every day. monday-friday lots of very short trips with saturday and sunday me usually driving down the shore or to the city (NYC)

i also own a GXP so no muffler would be fine but a nice size resonator could give this car a deep growl. i will try to get some pics of side exits.
