Was wondering about the acceleration hesitation in the '06 n/a auto. When I take off from a dead stop and put it to the floor, it takes a few seconds to wrap up and really take off. It's like it hesitates at first to go. But once it gets wound up it moves fast. I read a critic review on this and that was a complaint they had. Is there any kind of adjustment or something that will help or get rid of this hesitation?

An ECM tune gets rid of the "lag" and gives you that immediate response.

Many tuners on here offer a tune for the NA Solstice that are comparable:

Vector
Werks
PCMforLess
Westers

That's what we all call lack of low end torque, the engine doesn't have much horsepower at low rpm's but once you reach it's power band that's when you start feeling it pull especially with an automatic . You don't get that with stick shift because the power is geared direct. So it's actually normal what your feeling,if you want that feeling to go away you need more hp which can be achieved with many performance upgrades...

I know what your saying and it is something that can be improved. The tunes mentioned
above can help, but we need access to the transmission tune as well. Basically it comes
in granny mode so as not to be abused. While, horsepower for sure can help, if the
tranny is detuned, you will always get this hesitation. I've had several autos in the past,
and once the tranny adjustments were made you basically had a totally different car.
Hang in there, I believe something is in the works.

PS - Great question by the way. I am not sure why this has taken so long to get into the after market. It must have
something to do with the type of TCM(Transmission Control Module). I can't imagine it's due to lack of
complaining.

Also I might add. Try this, put your car in Drive, footbrake it and see how high you
can get the rpms. Now you see we auto guys have a huge problem. This can be tuned out
and hopefully it won't be long.

Well thanks for all the info guys. Was planning some mods anyway, so maybe I can get a least a little less of that. Then if a tranny tune comes, I would definately have to look into getting that. It's sort of annoying for it to lag like that when you really want to move.
