I would like to autocross my Sol next spring. Does anyone know off hand whether you can make modifications to the Air Intake system and still autocross in the low stock class? I put an intake on my Miata which was a fairly easy mod and it seemed to run better. Since I'm new at this (I haven't autocrossed since my college days) I would like to start out in the lowest stock class so I'm not competing against the "pros". Your input would be greatly appreciated!

NOT WAITING ANY MORE!
Stock means as it came off the production line. No dealer installed options are legal.
Any catback exhaust would be legal. I forgot to put that in my other post. You can change the exhaust. It's basicly any part that would be replaced over time from normal wear. Shocks, brake pads, tires.
It's all in the rules.

Reading over the rules it looks like OE tires are also required. Wheels of the same width and diameter and a max of +/- .25" (6.35 mm) offset difference.
It sounds like the rules are pretty tight. My only hope would be for a Solo Solstice division. I think I could do well in that division knowing there is only one other Solstice in my area. Thanks for all the good info!!

Well since the original concept car had the F1's GS-D3 then those are OK.

I haven't read through them in a while, are you sure shocks are allowed, LB'? 9meg + on dialup sucks...
Yep. Stock, Koni adjustables, or anything up to dual adjustable Penskes ($$$$) as long as you keep the same mounting points and same spring perch height. (no lowering)
You can put on $4000 worth of shocks but you can't change the shift knob....
