now for great ecm tunes might I suggest vector. great tune
I'm not trying to start a tune war on who's better. Just stating my experience with a couple of different ECM tunes.
I had the Vector tune for almost 2 years. I never had a problem with it and was very happy with the performance of my Solstice. I switched to the GMR tune a couple of months ago and have noticed quite a few improvements over my old tune.
With the Vector tune I always had a slight hesetation in power when shifting at 5000+rpms. It was very slight, but noticeable. With the GRM tune I have immediate power coming out of a quick shift.
Another thing I have liked about the GMR tune is I can feel more hp/torque in the 2000-3000rpm range. Both tunes feel the same above 3k rpms at WOT, but below 3k rpms I give a substantial edge to GMR.
With the Vector tune I was getting consistent 22-23 mpg with my normal driving. So far with the GMR tune under the same driving conditions I have been getting 24+ mpg. Right now after a little over 100 miles on this tank, according to my dash, I'm getting 25.2 mpg. So that is a nice improvement.
The one thing I have to give the edge to Vector's tune would be exceleration going from 70-80 mph in 5th gear. They both pull MUCH harder than stock, but the Vector feels a little bit stronger.
All these difference are very small. Both companies make a great tune for our cars. But also factor in that the GMR tune is $150 less than Vector and GMR doesn't lock your ecm. I would give them some serious thought before shipping your ecm off to Vector.
Again, i'm not trying to start a "who's tune is better" thread. I don't have dyno numbers to prove what I have said. Just giving my on two tuning options.

The fact that GM CAI retains warrantee of car may be a consideration. Also the GM CAI has been better performer than other aftermarkets which some say actually lose power.
My son went to UTI Auto Tech school where as part of their training they dyno tested cars with different CAI's. The GM products, specifically designed of that car always came out on top where most of the aftermarkets results showed loss of power. You've got to believe that the factory, with all their resources could do a better job at optomizing design.
Also like any modification, there has to be balance to get gains. An intake change should be used with an exhaust change to get balanced effect. More air, more fuel, better exhaust breathing to get out on other end. The ECM tune also adds to the mix. I again recommend the GM performance exhaust to go with GM CAI again to maintain the warrantee and provide proven gain, since they were designed to go together by GM engineers.
My local dealer matched the internet pricing for GM components vs. GM MSRP when I asked, which saved me a some money.

UTI is a great School, GM Roadster has a relationship with there campus here in Arizona. They host car club events and Dyno Days for us! They also have a FordGT 500 that was donated to this campus by actor Nicolas Cage.....That was one fun car to take around the block!

Before I put on a Hahn turbocharger I had the GM CIA and was very pleased with it. What's more the dealer can do the install and all should be covered by warrenty.
I have the GM one and like it a lot. Great sound and looks and fits well. Easy to install.
Let me introduce myself , my name is carlos , I´m from mexico , I got an 08 solstice and I want to do the cool air induction mod , but here is so expensive that I wanna do it in USA , but there is a place in TEXAS where i can do this , or should I do the k&n FILTER

A CAI on a N.A. car will not net you that much HP. At most 1 or 2.
