Just had the flowmaster 40(part #942541) installed. All I can say is now it sounds the way
it should. I can't be happier. Deeper sound is really nice. Thanks to all who gave me
input on choosing this muffler.
Mine is being installed at 8:30 tomorrow morning. All the positive comments about the 40 are making me giddy with anticipation.

Pauliewog,
We need to meet face to face! I'll drop you a PM and see if we can find a time to sit down over a cup of coffee.

We sure do. I sent you a pm when I first joined the board but it was apparently ignored!
Unfortunately, I don't think you'd enjoy hanging around with a cocky young kid like me
Although, you could be a great help when I get around to installing door lock buttons!

Got my 40 installed this morning... all I can say is wow! It sounds great! Couldn't have asked for anything better. The muffler shop here in town did a great job, I'd say pm me for the info but I'm the only sol nearby so I don't think anyone will need that info!

I had my Flowmaster on for almost a year and one of the baffles came loose. We contacted the distributer and a new one was sent out at no change. I'm sold on their service as well as their sound!!!

So what are you guys paying to have these installed? I went to a chain muffler shop and the guy quoted me $400!!! Needless to say, I turned around and walked out. Is the purchase of the muffler included in the prices you are getting or is it with you buying the muffler yourselves? thanks all.
My local independent muffler speed shop charged me $260 for the Flowmaster...hooking it up...using same tips...but setting them out more..turning them over to slant downward..on my GXP.

Mine was somewhere in that range too - I know I wouldn't have spent more........Actually, wait I have the receipt: $246.90.
