I'm not sure if they make dual 40s, but all of the 40s I know of being installed are on N/As so I'm guessing that they don't. You never know though!

I'm looking at this muffler on the internet. What configuration does the Solstice require ( center inlet, offset inlet, etc.) and what size inlet and outlet?

offset inlet, center outlet. If you use the flowmaster part number 942541 your good to go. It is a 2 1/2 inch inlet/outlet.

People need to remember this is a 4 banger, dual outlet is for looks more than performance. As long as the muffler can handle the appropriate flow etc.. it will work fine.

That's something I probably would have said a year ago.

Called a local muffler shop and guy quoted me a price of $110 installed. He said come by tomorrow after 10 am to have installed. He said that he had not done a Solstice before so I looked up Chemist's install post with photos. I printed it out and will take with me to the muffler shop.

Flowmaster installed this morning. Was a little more than quoted but he did a good job. $146 tax and all. I think I'm gonna like it.

It definitely sounds better. No performance improvement that I am aware of. It is louder than the stock muffler which takes some getting use to but I don't think it is going to be too loud. Can't say about the turbo install - mine is a N/A.
