So on my last car I Grounded the Throttle Body and it made a noticeable difference in Acceleration and throttle response. The car also idled a lot smother.

I'm new to the Pontiac performance world and need some info. Has anyone Grounded their TB on their Solstice?
Is this something worth while?
Thanks for the help.

Intake manifold is plastic, so the system (TB) has to be grounded somewhere.

The throttle sensors (2) are grounded with the sensor low to the ECM. The ETC motor has dedicated wires (none ground but they can't be as they move the blade both directions).

Maybe on a system with old/poor wiring/connections it could matter... but even then fix the real problem.

The reason I asked is because I did this with my Mazda3 and noticed smoother acceleration. I got the idea from Mazda forums.

After reading the posts in the link, I'll stick with what I said.

For any vehicle working as designed there won't be any improvement. Depending on how it is done (or incorrectly done) it could actually cause problems (ground loops, EMI antennas, etc).

A few people who said that their cars ran poorly could see some improvement. But they could of fixed the cause of that problem instead of adding another ground.

Others (in my opinion...) are caught up in the placebo effect.

But what do I know...

So i'm going to agree with mich. i did some searching around and it appears that no one in the world grounds their GM cars TB.

I'd say this is resolved. thanks for the input
