it all sounds great but i may wait untill there is some kind of appearance of the DDM
stage 3 S/C. ill wait to see some numbers on the dyno and price to see if i am getting the best bang for the buck.
Just note this car is going to be used for "Canyon driving" and auto x
If you showed up in KY,I'd let you feel the power of the Werk's stage II. I'm having it install a couple days before the 21st. I'm hopeing for 350 rwhp.

Hey GREENSTER:
350 whp is a bunch!!!! What are you pulling now? Let me know how it goes with the new setup. I am not able to be with you guys in KY due to my son and his wife having our first grandchild but I will be there in spirit. After you get back let me hear from you and perhaps we can get together and go for a cruise.

I've had a N/A 2007 Sly since Nov. 2006. When I ordered it in August the dealer couldn't tell me when I would ever see a GXP if I were to order one so I went with the base model.
After a year I got curious and took a GXP out for a spin and was stunned at the quickness.
At that point I asked the Sales Manager what kind of deal he could give me trading-in my pristine 4k, never been wet car. He said "the car plus $11,000. Dropped my fun-dial to the pin.
So, I had the Hahn Stage II turbocharger installed by a local performance shop. There were some problems with the ECM tune initially, but the local shop was able to iron them out. Now the car runs great. The only thing I had to do is replace some of the Hahn clamps with t-bolt clamps to keep them from popping-off. The dyno shows that my car has about 24 horses more at the rear wheel than the GXP.
I'm pleased with the set-up, and I saved thousands of dollars which hopefully I some day can put a piece of it in to some suspension upgrades.
If you are not a really good mechanic I recommend having a pro install the turbo-kit as this, to my line of reasoning, is the reason a few people have experienced problems with aftermarket systems.
I haven't ever gotten my Sol dynoed, but stage II is rated 375 and I'm getting the high flow cat installed,we'll see what I end up with.Oh and I'm letting Werks do the install.
Average numbers I have seen for hahn stage 2 is 240-250hp. Stage 3 around 300hp. If I learned one thing, that is I do not trust manufacturers dyno sheets. They are usually aroung 40+ hp down from what the manufacturer claims. I only judge the products by the members dyno sheets and problems I have read here on the forum. I also am not a big fan of the hahn manifold or turbo.
This is not intended to be a biased plug for Hahn, but when I dynoed my set up (100% installed by me and my son 2 years ago), my numbers match very closely to what Hahn post on the web.
Based on other vendor’s extravagant claims, it would have been easy for Hahn to play that game, but to my knowledge he didn’t.
About Hahn’s manifold, I agree about in not being sexy, but you know what, it follows the KISS principle. In high performance aircraft the KISS principle frequently still wins in trades, need less to say that trade is no brainer in our cars. Do the trade for your self and see what kind of margins you gain (by the way that doesn’t mean replying to this post with a bunch of hand waving, and then not showing your hard core data of the trades you made in your built to design).
I'm still boosting and have fun everyday, this car goes to garage every day after a good beating of the gas pedal. All who know me on this forum, knows I'm not kidding.
PS: For those not in the engineering business, KISS means Keep It Simple Silly.

I will also support the fact that Hahn did not fudge their performance numbers. I was one of the beta testers for Stage III with my previous solstice and I personally dynoed the car that I installed myself and got 300whp with Stage III. Hahn then took that information and put it on his web site. So I believe his numbers. However, every dyno is different and there can be variations because of that. A dyno is just supposed to show before and after gains. I was at 254whp with Stage II and then increased that by 47hp with the Stage III upgrade on the same dyno.
I now have the Hahn development car and it gets driven hard. I personally have had only a few problems (that I didn't cause myself). But again, if you want to run this kind of setup you have to be willing to get your hands dirty every now and then. I can say that I have put about 30,000 miles on Hahn equipped cars and I am still going strong.

Keep in mind the need for the high-boost valvetrain kit and race gas with the higher numbers from hahn. I was psyched for 375whp on stage 4, but pump gas numbers seem to max at ~300whp, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. It's still a hell of an accomplishment on a stock bottom end rated for 177bhp. I'd love to see someone drop lower compression pistons and forged rods in the LE5 and a rather large turbo screaming to 8k rpm.
All this talk of a stage 3 s/c kit...I've never had so many options that keep me from deciding!

Internals are the key. My turbo will make 500whp but my engine will not!
I'm an advocate of safe boost and low maintenance equipment. I don't mind checking for loose bolts or clamps but I sure don't want to have to make regular adjustments to fuel pressure, boost or chase leaks.
With my stock engine and 93 octane pump gas - I'm happy with 300whp - 12lbs boost - 12/1 afr. Just get in and drive!

Maybe I'm thinking a little too high but I'll be happy with anything north of 300. I'll get a dyno sheet and will post.
Daryl:
Come on now, you will never be happy until the "GREENSTER" can burn the tires off in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear. In fact, I still think you would crave more power!!!!
FYI, if you are not satisfied by this time next year, I know where there is a solid Pratt&Whitney JT12 for sale. It would not smoke the tires but it would get you from red light to red light in about 5 seconds in excess of 300 MPH!!!!
Have a great trip to KY and drive safely!!!

Yeah, working over at the ASA hanger at the airport,I've been eyeing one of their APU's.It looks like it could fit under the hood, but that 12" exhaust would be hard to hide.
Thanks ,sorry you want be able to make it to KY.
