what is your input on the hahn stage 2 turbo kit. Is the power worth the money, is it relaiable, and is it worth just getting the base model than the gxp and buying the turbo kit seprate
No matter what, the GXP is a better platform to start from but the 2.4 can make some 'fun' power in stock form with FI.
I disagree. If your looking for forced induction(turbo or Supercharged) anyway, go with the bigger displacement.
Also, until there is a viable solution for FULL access to the ECMs, the GXP is going to be limited. No doubt the DI is nice to play with, but there are not too many advantages other than that. Besides, you can pick up a Used 06/07 Base solstice fairly cheap and save $$$ for upgrades

ya thats what i am looking for is an 06 mysterious. DDM makes a turbo kit right or do they just make a supercharger kit. whats the word on the stage 3
If buying new, and limited in mechanical/ECU skills, get the GXP. Crank, Pistons, Block and lube are all designed to handle the high power. Direct Injection is icing on the cake.
If buying used and have skills, get the 06 N/A from a reasonable trusted source, and add all the power you will ever need from the fine folks at Hahn Racecraft.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Hahn stuff. I think the manifold design is junk and you can fabricate them for a very little money. They don't flow that well and I would much prefer something a little better for the price.
Secondly, I don't like how he mounted the intercooler right in front of/on the radiator. It blocks the flow of air diverted up to the radiator by the air dam that hangs below the car. I know they did this because the rounded nose on a N/A Solstice limits how far foreward and how low you can mount something. Still, DDM Works Stage II intercooler mounts in a better fashion and works with the solstice nose.
Thirdly, I think BEGI fuel pressure regulators are crap. For the money I would like something a little more modern.
Again, this is all just my opinion, and Hahn has sold a lot of kits while I'm still working to complete my car. Carlintexas was one of the first people to have a Hahn kit and after all the problems he had he finally took his car to DDM Works and had them re-do everything. It seems that Hahn's customer service is getting better (judging by how quickly he addresses complaints on the forum) but usually things have escalated to the poiont the owner is fed up enough to make a post. After talking to people in the DSM crowed, they don't think much of the Hahn stuff, but they also have a lot more vendors making things for their platforms.
This is not intended as a flame, you asked for opinions and you got mine.

Dark Knight:
You may want to read the Post listed under "Solstice in the News" Titled: Solstice hits the cover of HCI magazine. The magazine did two articles on the Solstice Mobile 1 car which has a Hahn Stage 2 Turbo kit. One of the articles goes over the install and gives a performance review. According to the magazine, Hahn RaceCraft is making an excellent and easy to install kit that you may want to consider if purchasing a NA Solstice. Hope this helps.

Go for displacement, and then boost. No mater what others say, DI only gets you so far, then you will bump into displacement.

I figure 2.4L and enough boost to pop the ego of turbo carrera driver will do.

If I had the cash and knowledge of the GXP when I bought, I would have gone that way. Instead, I bought a used 2006 N/A and have been relatively happy with performance of it, buuuuuut..... knowing that there are faster GXP's out there, coupled with knowing that there are good kits - both Turbo and Super - which are proven and relatively inexpensive, is almost too much to resist. Sooner or later I'll be FI - cuz I can.
