Okay, so I have a N/A Sol, and so far I have a AEM CAI, and Vector tune.

Now, I am about to order the shorty headers and hi-flo cat. However, my dilemma is the exhaust. If I don't get an aftermarket exhaust, is it going to drastically decrease my performance the headers and cat will add?

It's not that I just don't want an exhaust, it's just I'm not a huge fan of the aftermarket exhaust note of a 4 cylinder. They all sound kinda ricey to me... (if I do end up buying one, it'd be the KS1, or KS2 if I decide to hassle myself with the Norm's fiberglass thing)

But anyway, any help in this question would be great, thanks!

I can't help you with technical issues, I'm just a tax accountant. However, I HIGHLY recommend the Magnaflow dual-exit exhaust, although the single-exit is also better than stock. My exhaust (see signature below) does not sound ricey, it has a very pleasing deep sound.

I also HIGHLY recommend the ClearImage Tri Y Long Tube Exhaust Header. It gives a lot more torque throughout the RPM range. The Solstice is fun to drive, but now it is even better.

Love my Solo SQR-1 with Norms rear fascia. No rice here . When I saw the the straight through design of the center exit systems I decided I wanted one .

I will be driving out to Buffalo again tomorrow to get their second prototype shortie header and put it on the dyno .

I've posted these a couple of times recently when this question has come up but what the heck......

GTJAY, get a header... I was not sure how much it helped to I put the stock manifold back on .. I have a shorty from Clear Image F/S...
I will by a long tube once I get my new Super Charger....

AS far as the exhaust... just change the muffle if you don't want dual outs. Flowmaster 40 will / does sound great.. several have it and Love it....
If you want to go crazy... there are several options....

Good luck.. If you want a header.. let me know and I will ship it... I will be out for the next week.. hold tight if you want it.
