As far as overall cooling, one other effective trick is to V-mount the Intercooler and Radiator. This allows both to get an equal share of ambient air that comes through the nose. I haven't looked under the hood of my friend's Solstice enough, but I'd guess there is room.

You can then take two smaller oil coolers and run them in a series at the outter edges of the front grille openings (can't remember if the Solstice really has a place for this to ideally fit without cutting into the OEM nose).

The stock one might not have provided enough flow rate and cooling capacity for his project car. It could have also been a point of failure as well.

Just trying to save room to fit it in the small engine bay of a 1970 Corolla. I will most likely go with a remote cooler.

Tass is exactly right, the water return line is T offed on the thermostat cover and goes to the oil cooler and after that it rejoins with the return line.

The turbo guys have had the hood insulation buttons melted and the engine cover insulation melted where it was cut.

I took the original heat shield that was on the exhaust manifold - beat the hell out of it and re-formed it to make a heat shield to go over the top of the turbo.

Also ran flex duct ram air hoses from the bottom of the nose - one feeds air to the front of the turbo, the other feeds air to the CAI.

Does anyone know if there is an oil filter adaptor (sandwitch) available for the 2.4 N/A engine to add an oil cooler in the car?

2007/2008 MY or 2006 MY car? The 2006 MY LE5 already has an oil cooler attached to the back of the block, they removed it after the first year though.
