Is your car na or a GXP. Probably na since your looking for more power . Best bang for the buck is going to be the tune. They can be had for <$400 from various vendors.

i swear you should get ebay parts! nothing beats a chip for 30 bucks and a 'vortex fuel management system' that will net you +10mpg.

not only will you have a beast of a car, you'll get 40mpg on the freeway.

ok ok i'm just playing. don't buy anything off ebay that wasn't built by GM (or made by supporting vendors here).

there's actually another thread going on by nub something that has better info.

there's also the search button.

a tune is your cheapest/best return on cost (200-400$) +20 or so hp

adding bolt ons like intake, headers, exhaust + a tune is the next best bet (~$1.5k). +50 or so right?

rules of car modification:

fast
cheap
reliable

pick two

You could build your own CAI, I did mine on the cheap. You just have to go through the effort to hunt down all of the parts. I think I did mine for about 120.00, and I think it looks just as good as the super expensive ones out there.
