   removing your ECM

I was trying to figure this out for obvious reasons

It's recommended to disconnect battery first!

the first attachment is to show where the ECM is.

the second attachment shows my progress/question.

Note the large red arrow - it points in the direction those red tabs slide - I assume they slide as part of the process of releasing the ECM

NEXT.......

The smaller arrow points in the direction I believe I need to pull on to release the three cam lock levers.

But I couldn't get the cam lock levers to budge even though I slid that red tab already. Since the parts are plastic, I worry about breaking it until I know more.

Any help out there?

From the service procedures:

1. Locate the connector position assurance (CPA) on the top of the wire dress cover. Slide the CPA forward.

2. Slide the lever lock forward while pressing down on the lever lock release tab.

...

You are probably not getting the level lock release tab pushed down enough to allow the lever to lift up. You shouldn't need to force anything. When you are moving the lever, it will be actually lifting/unseating the connector.

For all I know, I disconnected the radiator

for the one that asked, the ECM (AKA ECU) is the on board computer, it controls things like fuel etc. I'm no expert, so I'll leave it to someone else to expand on

Thanks guys for the gratitude. It was fun to get under the hood and play

And trust me, if I can do it, anyone who can pump gas can do it
