Forget adding HP for a minute, and consider the other variable in the power-to-weight ratio.

GM has already eliminated the spare and jack........ I have chucked a few other things, but was wondering if anyone here has gone thru their own car with this in mind ?

I am not yet willing to part with the radio......

the weight all seems to all be in the chassis.

the only big removables that weigh anything are the top hardware and the hood.

but according to the warnings on the sun visors.... maybe we could remove the rear seat.

there are bunch of threads about it and that was one of the more informative ones to get you started.

There isn't much you can get rid of unless you are going to change out for carbon fiber which is pricey.

You can swap the stock battery for and Oddessy battery and lose a few pounds, or do like I did and go on a diet, dropped 30 pounds from the driver. I also dumped my fat girlfriend, that helped in a lot of ways, made the car a lot quieter too.

exactly. really the only two substantial things you can do to get any sort of weight reduction would be a full carbon hood and removing the top (it's only about 6 bolts).

Goat:

Loved the part about your X-girlfriend and quieter!!! As Larry the Cable Guy would say, NOW THAT WAS FUNNY RIGHT THERE!!!!

Reminds me of the dash plaque we used to place on our dash back in the 50 and 60's. GET IN, BUCKLE UP, SHUT UP and HOLD ON!!!!
