Squeal when in reverse

Anyone have a high-pitched squeal when they shift into reverse. I have a manual transmission. Sound seems to be coming from the front of the car. Any thoughts?

I think more information will be needed to diagnose the problem.
I'm not aware of any known issues with the manual transmission but others here might.
Squeels while you let out the clutch or after?
Squeels with clutch in?
With the clutch in can you hear a clicking sound similar to metal roller skate wheels? If so it could be the throwout bearing in the clutch.
Does it feel like the clutch releases completely with the pedal all the way in?

I occasionally pick up a small stone that rests (I think) between the brake disc and the caliper holder or a shield. It squeals something terrible! I can usually go forward then backward and repeat until the piece is dislodged.

I live in the boonies where pebbles are known to lay in wait!

my squeal is very high pitched and only when the clutch is starting to be engaged. I also noticed this happening starting out of first ( if you start slowly)
