I dont have a SC/Sol but I did have a SC seadoo that i had to sell because it was just to much power, out of the hole with 235HP it would leap out of the water, hanging on buy my arms feet staight out i felt like Willy E Coyote on an ACME rocket. Afetr being tossed out by this seedevel at 75mph to many times i was fealing like a drowned rat. I sold it before it killed me. Via Condios to the new owner.

One of the nicest things about the DDM S/C system is how manageable it is.
The boost is on demand...if you keep it in vacuum (most normal throttle
use),the S/C bypasses and there is no boost effect. But if you step on the
pedal with intention, the S/C engages and boost is available as low as 1500
RPM. Still, the power onset is predictable, linear and simply feels as if
someone stole your engine and replaced it with a small displacement V8.
After the car itself, it's the best entertainment value possible!

I like that. We need more impressions like that from SC owners describing the actual experience of ownership. The dyno charts are cold and precise, but the experience achieved is I believe what more of us are looking for and at.
Thanks!

THe seadoo was the same with smooth, the trouble was with the throttle it was a thumb trigger that you would push. Now the grips are motor cylcle like so you grab it with the fingers and push with the thumb. Now try not to grab on tight when you "hit it". You can not you are hanging on for your life!
But the Super charger is great KICK IN the pants I would think that in the 2.4 it is amazing. I have the GXP so i am in another boat so to say. But I know my Seadoo S?C blew the turbo jets skies away, out of the hole and in the top end. Trouble with those things is you get going near 80mph on the water even a bug is a deadly weapon. These cars with anything clost to 300hp is alot for the 1.5tons of car they are.
Back in the old days a 350 with 335-350HP in a 2-ton cars was a Pony car aka Mustang?camaros pre 70'. Theses cars are faster with the 4 banger today and 3x the mpg, amazing.

What are the risks of installing a supercharger and has anyone had any trouble or problems with it?
Carcollector,
I have not have one issue with my Stage II since I installed it almost a year ago. Smooth reliable power, instant throttle response, and two very satisfying sounds (the DDMworks exhaust note and the whine of the supercharger). It makes my car very enjoyable to drive and it is definately a crowd pleaser.

I have to question this. The stripes and scoop are probably the crowd pleaser, and for good reason, they look excellent . The sc is driver pleasure, pure and simple. Jack said it very well. Pretty much what I've tried to convey to anyone that might be interested since stage I .

If you take the boost psi right off the S/C I was showing 12psi.
I moved the boost line over to the other tube right before it goes into the engine (after the I/C) and am now showing 10 and in some cases will bump up to 11 for a little bit. It pulls really hard! If you are in first gear rolling and punch it it will smoke the tires and go sideway on you if you don't watch it. That is even with my Dunlop sport 9000 tires instead of the Good Years which are not even close to having as much traction as these Dunlops. With the Good Years I know you would probably smoke them all the way to 4th gear also. It really is a torque monster
I cant wait to see what Seal9 ends up with but we all know family comes first.

By "new stage II" do you mean that yours includes the new pulley system
with a separate 6 rib belt for the S/C? I ask because you're getting a higher
boost PSI than others with Stage II.

OK, Randy...EXPLAIN! Is the pulley smaller? Or, is the belt just more
"efficient" (read, less slip). 'Fess up! where'd the extra boost come from?
Actually his pulley is larger than yours, but then again so is the new crank overlay
If you work out the pulley ratio's they end up being the same as the old stage 2 setup, just that with the new setup there is little to no belt slip anymore so towards the upper end of the rev range when the engine can not breathe the air the supercharger is supplying, the boost starts to rise.

OK, got it.
Obvious next question...what has to be "freed-up" to allow the engine to
benefit from the more efficient air delivery? Are we talking head work at
this level?
