It's true and I have the photos of my old car to prove it. If you are interested I can assist with the order.

We know all about the Mallett. Check out the "Search" button at the top of the page. It will save you the trouble of guessing and the rath of angry Mods. We've got all the specs and pictures to boot. The Mallet car they used belonged to TerpFan before he sold it to Mallett. I think he's getting a Sky now.

EDIT: TerpFan beat me to it.

Terp, there was a price range quoted way back of from 18-21k. What was that all about?

If you visit Mallett Cars website you will see there are various options now available. The base conversion is still $18K, but the preferred package is $20k.

Look for more interesting news from Mallett by December 1. As of this writing all 100 cars allocated for 2006 production have been sold! Look for information in December for any changes to this status. ;-)

I'm not at all surprised. These will be very special cars. Anyone who owns one has a special, amazing machine for show and go. And when you think of what the average loaded SUV goes for these days, and how many people are running around in garden variety Mercedes and Porsches, well $40k really is not that much money for an awful lot of people out there. I was really, really tempted to go this way myself. But I want to drive the wheels off my Solstice, and somehow I wouldn't feel right driving the wheels off something so rare and so special.
