Finally found a video of a V8 sol punching it...

So I was just searching across youtube and I found this video of a sol with a "LS1" swap. Seems legit and I am very pleased seeing as I have not found another video until now of a v8 solstice actually flooring it.

Well here is the beast...

YouTube - V-8 Solstice 7997

Oh and if anyone knows of anymore V8 solstice videos running hard don't hesitate to link them on this thread.

heres an old one.
Video of the new LS7 Powered Pontiac Solstice running the quarter. Finished in about 11.57 @ 123mph. The driver didn't really seem to know what he was doing and did the most pathetic burnout I ever seen before he tried to do the run. Also, he kept th (well that didn't quite work)

type pontiac solstice in the search box @ streetfire.net

Yeah I don't think I have seen that video either. The solstice looks like the Hot Rod magazine one because of the white markings on the door and considering it is titled "LS7" solstice, it probably is.

I haven't looked at streetfire.net video page for awhile because before they didn't show many videos of the solstice and other then that one video I have seen them all. But great find anyway!

That video is about 2 years old and it is the first conversion that was done by V-8 Archie, he hasn't been on the forum for quite a long time.

That explains why I found it with "other popular links" being all about fieros...I think your on to something.

Well I guess it took me two years to find it because I always check for solstice videos on youtube from time to time.

Oh and yeah I am aware that Archie has been away from the v8 sol swap for quite sometime.

lame burn out, I agree, I know its an LS1 engine, but man what a nice sound. Wish we could get that kind of sound from a performance exhaust.

Yeah I think solscuba is the undisputed burnout king as far as solstices go. I am not sure if that guy was trying to do a burnout but rather just accelerating.

Hey solscuba did you have to get new tires after that burnout?

Here's Archie's old engine. He put 300 miles on it before he pulled it!

No, I kept those on for a few more months, but they still had tread to let me hook up.

Then I switched to GS-2's. No need for a new burnout until someone replaces mine with better. Then I'll have to one up them.
