GXP Clutch and Flywheel

Do any companies make these for the 2.0L LNF?
Exedy listed them on their website, but when i tried to install them I soon found out that they don't make anything for the 2.0L turbo motor just the 2.4L NA (mis-information on exedy's part).

HMM curious that it doesnt just bolt on Dr.J. What specifically did not bolt up?

Bolt pattern?
Spline count? (what is it by the way)
flywheel issues?

Couldnt we just get a more aggresive rag and throw it in the stock flywheel/pressureplate?

I need to know. I bought a GXP clutch to install in my 2.4 - but have not done so - yet (I'm sick of the harmonic vib I get from the Spec)!

haha, you will!

The vibration is killing me also. I am using a clutchmasters. I believe DDM has a new clutch coming out.

I was waiting for the Flywheel to arive (i had the clutch) and i was missing races because it was on backorder. so i tried to bolt up just the new stage 2 clutch and the presure plate did not have the holes in it for the aligning dowel pins on the stock fly wheel.

I got ahold of exedy technical and they said they did not make anything for the 2.0L turbo motor, even though their website lists it for both the 2.4L and 2.0L (damn marketing always screwing things up! )

So thats where i am at right now. I'm not sure if flywheels will bolt between the two engines or not.
I think i will be putting the stock stuff back in for now and this will turn into an off-season project.

Well, lets count up the splines on t he shaft & measure it.
We'll just find a frictiondisc that is more aggressive but the same size as the stock pressure plate and flywheel.

I got my stock clutch and flywheel out. Carl has a stock gxp clutch. Maybe we should get both pieces together.

Well, I've got the stock flywheel and the GXP clutch sitting on a bench in the barn. Suppose I ought to go see if they will line up!

I believe the friction disc is splined the same as an LS1, but the overall clutch & disc diameter is smaller, obviously.

Maybe someone could rivet a more aggressive friction material on the stock disc for you. There was a guy in Lansing that was going to do this with the extra clutch and disc. But that was arranged by Jon and he ended up running off with all my stuff. So some guy in Lansing still has my clutch, disc, and flywheel. (!!!!!!)

Well, I tried to attach the GXP pressure plate / disc to the N/A flywheel........... NO GO!

Pressure plate holes don't line up with the flywheel holes.

GXP disc is about 1/2" larger diameter and will not go in the recess on the flywheel.

I don't have a GXP flywheel to see if it will bolt to the engine, oh well!

Anybody out there with a GXP want to buy a new pressure plate / disc??

the 2.0 lnf crank has the same pattern as the 2.0 supercharged motor. the 2.2 is a 6 bolt crank end. the 2.0 lnf and supercharged 2.0 have a 8 bolt crank end. not sure about the 2.4 but i think it is a 6 bolt like the 2.2

hope that helps

Without going back to the barn to check - I think 6 is the number for the 2.4
