I'm thinking of doing the same thing myself. Have you had any luck in getting the cruise control to function? Awesome looking vehicle you've got going there by the way!!

You can check out my progress here, This is my '06 Pontiac Solstice. I bought it wrecked and intend to not only repair it, but also replace the ecotec with an LS-1. - St. Johns, Michigan. I'm really just interested in getting all the details about the swap in one place. So, if anyone has any questions, please feel free, likewise if you have any suggestions/advice, don't hesitate.

He has been working on it, but hasn't figured it out yet.
Sorry for the delays. I have my LS1 harness with electronic throttle done and working. The LS2 things got pushed to the side (mainly cause I don't have one to play with ). How many of you are interested in this kit? So far, it looks like:

Let me know, I just need enough interest to make it worth my time, I'm up for the challenge.
Is anyone really interested in the LS1 Solstice wiring diagram? I'm starting to put it all together, for my own records mainly, but I'm sure it may be useful to others. Probably a few weeks out, but in progress. This may steal the thunder from some places offering harnesses, but I'm all for DIY. Don't get me wrong... I'm definitely considering making some of these harnesses for sale...
The new rear differential is in! The old Solstice 3.91 with the leaky pinion seal has been replaced with a CTS-V 3.42 with a new pinion seal. I got the CTS-V rear diff. a while back and have just been waiting to put it in. I cleaned/primed/painted it, replaced the pinion seal and front housing (per recall notice) and filled it up with new synthetic oil. It went in relatively easy. There was a slight modification needed to the front mount adapter. Apparently between '05 and '06 the housings changed about an 1/8 of an inch by the front mount. But, after removing the excess material everything fit just fine. Other than that difference the diff's were identical from the outside.
The new ratio is working out well so far. 1st gear is now useful for things other than smoke. Also, my mileage should be even better. Cruising down the highway at 70mph the motor runs at 1500rpm.
The pinion seal kit is GM Part # 19179933 with a list price of $95.77. With the discount I got it for about $60. Unfortunately, the dealerships will not just give you the parts for the recall. However, it is a very easy diy job for those of us who prefer to do the work ourselves.
I'll post pics of the whole process later this week.
Sounds great. I did mine too. I however, used a STSV rear end and used a 3.23 ratio with a Quaife LSD. I run about 1650 at 80mph in 6th with a Tremec T56 trans.
Thanks for keeping this updated, Adam. I haven't checked this thread in awhile. I would definintely be interested in wiring diagram. But I'll probably go LS2 if/when I put mine together - unless LS1 are still way cheaper than LS2 by then. I'm still at least a year away from shopping for an engine. I'll be landing back in the states a year from now.
I just read this entire post and I must say good job. I clicked on the lastest link but I didn't see any step by step. Did I miss something?? Is there anything else going on with the car now?
Are you referring to the pinion seal replacement? Yeah, I kinda dropped the ball on updating that page in the last few months. The car has been running great, I've put 8500 miles on it this year and haven't had any issues. I'll be putting it up for the winter during the first week of October. I haven't done much this summer since I wanted to drive it as much as possible. Look for more updates as the snow hits.
On the list of things to do this winter is:
-Repaint/clear hood, decklid, and quarters. There were existing scratches from the initial wreck that I polished as best I could to get the car on the road, now it's time to refinish those.
-Custom exhaust, round 2. I've got a lot of great ideas for the exhaust, including sweet side exit pipes. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to go more of a traditional route with mandrel bent duals the whole way. Need to get some more ground clearance.
-Maybe a more aggressive cam to get me over 400hp.
-Upgrades brakepads and tires.
-Custom air intake to get colder air from up front.
-Tint
To answer your question on the other post with regard to driveline noise, I do have quite a bit from up front, may need a new throw out bearing. The rear diff. could definitely use stiffer bushings and maybe a different brace.

If you decide to do a diff brace, I'd be interested in one too. The diff could use another brace for sure. I have been thinking of going to the updated diff housing, but I don't know how much difference that will make.
Did you ever get any info on cruise control from Werks? I heard that they are offering a separate cruise module now, but not the integrated steering wheel controls. I'm still confused as to why they don't integrate them.
And, what bellhousing did you use with your t56? how was your shifter location?
