US1 - SR192 Cruise From Ft Pierce, to Old Town Kissimmee [Feb 24th, 2007]

Hi all,

I am thinking about putting together a cruise from Fort Pierce, Fl. to Old Town in Kissimmee. Sat - Feb 24th The route is 98 miles, but with US-1, it will be slow going at times around citys and small towns. But that's OK, we like to show off the cars anyway!

Leave 8AM from Downtown Ft Pierce, headed North on US-1 to Melborne. There we pick up on SR-192 and head West to Kissimmee. Once there, we can enjoy the festivities and put our cars on display. There is a special Pontiac Show. "Sun of the Beach" is an excellent tavern we could eat dinner at.

I will also include a "twisty" somewhere along the way... And of course stops along the way for photos, amusement, or what-ever.

Add to the thread if you're interested. If enough people show an interest, then I'll do a test-run one of these weekends coming up and post info on this thread.

Registration forms for the show: http://skygazer.net/warrior1.pdf

Plan it for the week end of Feb 24 and there is a car show in Old Town that will have a special class for Solstice. Three prises and time to meet and get together. We had 9 sols and one showed up late making it 10. Hope to have at least 15-20 this year. The show starts in the morning and last year we all met and drove in together. The show is put on by the Wide Track Warriors of Orlando Pontiac club. Had around 100 cars last year.Just a idea---

And best of all if you all come up to the car show that day is you'll get to meet me, cause I'll be there.

DOH! Forgot about that show..... Yes, make it the Feb 24th weekend! I edited the original post to reflect the new date.

This would be a good drive to the show.

New date of Feb 24 should be doable. I'll pencil it in if Skys are welcome.

GXPGuy; I take it you have the car? Or an exact delivery date? If so, Great!

Well....its hard to say...okay I got a production date of Dec 13..whatever that means...the dealer says I should get a delivery date by the end of this month and he expects the car by late January or early feb...he was rather shocked or at least that is what he said. Not sure what to believe until I get something more affirmative.
