WISols 2009 Planning

Just starting to think about next year's event schedule.

Tell us what you want to do, where you want to explore, you know the drill.

One change for 2009, the Penguin, normally our first run of the season, really *needs* to happen post Dells, in mid October. Moms and I ran a large chunk of the route Sunday, and the colors were at peak.

Jan 1 - NYD cruise
Feb
Mar
Apr
May - Run the Northwoods
Jun 18-20 NASSM 2009 - DENVER
Jul
Aug 15 - Door #4
Sept 24-27 - Dells #4
Oct - 4th Annual Penguin

I know Ferny up in the UP wants to organize a meet up there in the UP, and we have unexplored territory in some very nice areas of WI.

We ran the bottom half of Rob's Dells route back to MN--pretty much fun--maybe have to call it the Wildcat Mountain run !

Door County in August seemed to work out good this year. I'd be willing to set up the run again in 09. August 15th works for me.

Racine will have the St. Patty's Day parade again next year. If there's interest, I'd be willing to coordinate signing us up for the parade, lunch, and a short run again. I think it would be March 14th, but I need to check for sure.

Thinking about doing Nationals in Denver too.

Since the Penguin run has been always at the end April, we're looking at a weekend kick-off, in the northwoods, May 1st-3rd. Early enough that we will not have to battle the legions of tourists, yet late enough that the snow should mostly be gone

Moms & I will be on a scouting mission tomorrow, both to look at the roads, as well as to check out potential lodging in the Minocqua area.

I'll start a separate thread for this one in a day or three.

Awesome color ... I *hate* you ... a little! Not as much as if it were a Solstice though!

i can't wait this is going to be the longest winter. but our dealer (general manager) said to wait until march because that way they would be able to sell our blue one better in the spring then over the winter.
