Don't worry about it. I'd rather them take care of more important issues than trying to book a reservation for the end of Sept!

Just don't let me forget to make that reservation in the next week or 2!!!

Ann -- Yup! That was my reservation they lost. I'll try calling them in a few days and re-confirm with my info. Thanks for the heads up.

I sent an email out this afternoon but got no response. if the phone lines are still out I am guessing they may have othr outages as well.

Hey---new activity for this fall---everybody bring their boots and we will have a race across the lake---may be the closest thing to walking on water lol

Long before your time up north, they threw a cofferdam across the eagle river just before the dam so they could work on the dam. There was about 200 yards of completely dry bottom between the cofferdam and the real dam. It was amazing the stuff that was to be found on the bottom of the river. It was fun, but a bit muddy in places.

So, what will my lake view room be called when they're back up and operating? Lake bottom view? Beach view? Extended beach view? Prairie view?

I'm thinking the Lakeside rooms will be temporarily renamed to the Formerly Known
As Lakeview, or they'll give us binoculars to look way to the east to the Wisconsin River.

Maybe we can get them to put in an MudX track.....

I heard a rumor that The Sunset Canyon Resort would be offering a special on full body mud packs.

Here's a pic from the morning newspaper - this location was on last year's Saturday run, Reedsburg!

"Floodwaters of the Baraboo River cover two cars on a Reedsburg street Tuesday. More rain is forecast for Thursday."

this could be a whole new direction for Baker's Resort-----mud packs, tours across the bottom of the lake, etc. can you imagine if that had happened while we were all there?

Mom----I love your idea. Hey all---I just got off the phone with Dawn at "Baker's Sunset We Have A Lot Of Beachfront Property Now Resort". She said their phones are backup and all is running smoothly. The resort is just fine other than there is no water out in front of it. She said people are out all over with metal detectors looking for treasures and anything else they might find. She said that they are being told there will be water in the lake by September----we each just bring a few buckets so we can form the brigade to load it up So, Suzy, call back and reconfirm your reservation. Diane, get busy now and make your reservation. And everyone else that hasn't done anything yet-----lets get going. Make your reservatiins and send me your registration and payment.

Bring on the mud bath! (Although there will probably be a lake again by Sept!)

4 months to ensure that the earthen barriers are ALL sufficient and haven't been undermined by the recent weather is a little "over achiever" in my book.

IMO I seriously doubt there will be any lake by THIS Sept.
