WISols: Twistin' Around the Lakes - May 1-3, 2009 Northwoods Weekend/Run

Since the Penguin run has been always at the end April, we're looking at a weekend kick-off, in the northwoods, May 1st-3rd. Early enough that we will not have to battle the legions of tourists, yet late enough that the snow should mostly be gone

Moms & I will be on a scouting mission tomorrow, both to look at the roads, as well as to check out potential lodging in the Minocqua area.

More information to follow...

Everyone that can make it should go as AR puts on some of the best runs around.

Now for the thread hijacking: I will take this time to tell everyone from the WISols it has been a pleasure to take a few rides with them. But I knew from the beginning my time here was limited and my next job puts me in Watts Bar TN starting the first of December. So we will be sneeking south before it get too cold. For those of you that "Run the Dragon" we will only be about 2.5 hours away and could make the run every weekend

Now back to the regular thread. Working too much overtime to make most of the runs but the ones we went on were great because of the folks that are "Along for the Ride".

I wish Ya'all the best and maybe see some of you that head south from time to time.

Terry and Michele

Time to get down to business here-May will be here before we know it!!

For the next couple of months all the prep work will be via telephone and computer. Soon as the weather breaks, mid-late March, we'll be doing a final pre-run on the run for Saturday, May 2nd.

Put me down as a probably. I'd love to go, and may take the drive myself. Gary's job changed, and his hours are pretty late on Fridays. I'm going to see if I can get anyone else to come with me.
