You guys have fun .... I won't be able to get off work in time to make a week day event. I'll have to wait until a Saturday to "hit the cones" with you guys.

Since this is the first autox of the season I was told they will probably not get started exactly on time, so don't worry if you aren't there ready to run by 4:00. They will probably still be taking people who come in even later in the evening. The weather is supposed to be clear but cool so the cars should run good but the tires won't get good stick so it should be "interesting" to say the least 'See all of you later today.

BeaveRun's first Fun AutoX was last night and it was a BALL!!!! I got over 20 runs in three hours and could have squeezed in probably five more. The weather was fantastic and the people at the track were great. It was one of the best $30 I've ever spent. Rob, one of our Forum member from the Slippery Rock area drove down and rode as my navigator (and I needed one for the first couple of trips around the circuit) and later Bob (Warthog) rode with me to my second best time for the night. My youngest daughter came just in time for my last two runs and she rode with me for them. My next to last run was my fastest for the night and my daughter is now hooked on autoxing. She wants to come back and ride again. See thinks the riding part is still the best for her since her 2004 Saturn lacks a little bit in the handling department. You run only against yourself since there is no "classing" of vehicles, although there was some fun competition between people who obviously knew each other from previous autox events. Spectators pay $7 to watch or to ride. Check out the schedule at the first post and mark your calendar, you won't be sorry, it's a great time. I was told a typical Wednesday evening will have 15-20 vehicles and a typical Saturday will have 30-50 vehicles. The concession stands aren't open so make certain you pack a cooler. 'See you later this year.

Dan, Cindy and I had a great time. I think Nittany picked up a couple of seconds when you switched to the smaller co-pilot. The is a great way to really find out how a car handles. It was fun to watch the kids get carried away and do so spin-outs. Thanks so much for dinner also. I can't wait to get some more passenger seat time. I'll bring the camera next time to catch you in action.
