Rise and Shine all you Autocrossers!!

Its going to be a HOT one - should make our tires stick all the better!

Packed up and ready to roll - leaving in just a few headed North to the meet up point.

If all show - then we should have 6 Solstices AutoXing today ... should be quite a showing for the KAPPA team!

I'm back...AWESOME!!! I had the best forum member time during the first run and my crappy RSA's kept me back on the tighter course! 32.6 was my best..probably do about 30.8 with adjustments...killed miatas and both evolutions!

Forum member is a mere technicality, Ethan did run a 32.56...

I will post the times and some videos as soon as I get done cleaning up the tornado damage at home.

We had a fantastic time yesterday. There was lots of talk all day about the Solstices on stock tires having better times than the cars on "sticky" tires . There was also lots of talk about how little body roll our cars have....it was great to be close enough to hear the conversations but not let the people know you were a Solstice owner. I did have one very interesting "incident" . Coming out of a tight right hand bend which opened into a long sweeping right hand curve, I wound Nittany up in first gear and hit second......................you can guess what happened. I had way too much power under me at that point in time. I had a beautiful 360 view of the autox track as I spun while going about 60 mph. It was interesting. Nittany stalled, but fired right back up and finished the run like nothing had happened. I remembered not to hit that bend quite so hot on the rollowing runs. It's amazing to think that my 2.4 has that much power.....I know, I know, I have a tune, a CAI and an after market muffler, but still.......she's still not a GXP. She impressed me anyways.

There are still lots of autox runs left this summer. Think about coming out. The people are great, the facilities are great and the Solstices DEFINITELY attract attention.

Check in later. Devo has an interesting Mazda sign pic for everyone to see

I am home and everything is fine.

Not real sure what happened because I wasn't here. Deb said they had a "Warning" that a tornado was headed for Defiance. Sirens went off and there is an awful lot of tree damage in the area, so they at least had some very high winds. No Power for about 24 hrs., but that is all back to normal.

I need to dump out my camera and identify and upload some videos, then I will post all the times and pics.
