Let's see just how many brave SOLS we have in Western PA that are willing to travel through Hartwood Acres ( a mere 3.4 miles) Celebration of Lights with their tops down in order to PROPERLY view the magnificent Christmas decorations.
Last year a few of us met before hand for dinner. If you are interested in joining us let me know by posting here and we'll find somewhere for all of us to eat.
If not .... I know of at least a couple of loopies .... errr...ummmm... I mean BRAVE SOLS that will attend.

11/16/2007 through 1/6/2008
The "Celebration Of Lights" is an outdoor illuminated spectacle displayed along a 3.5-mile stretch of roadway leading up to the stunning mansion at Hartwood. Visitors are able to view the displays from their cars. More than 2 million lights shine on holiday-themed figures standing three to 40 feet tall.
This event helps raise money for Project Bundle-Up, Salvation Army program which provides new coats, gloves and other cold-weather clothing to children and senior citizens.
Donations are $10 per carload. For more information, call (877) 548-3874.

Just so you have an idea as to what it is like at Hartwood.....please excuse some of the shakey pics, it's tough to get clear shots from inside a car at night while moving

$12 donation per car - paid at the end of the drive thru. - money goes to Project BundleUp.
Drive Thru takes approx. 45 minutes IIRC ... we should be all on our way home by 8 pm - unless we want to stop for Hot Chocolate!
Bring your Santa Hat if you have one .... and yes, some of us will be TOPS down if there is no precipitation falling - its a tradition! Dress WARM and join the fun!
