Saturday, December 8th

Let's see just how many brave SOLS we have in Western PA that are willing to travel through Hartwood Acres ( a mere 3.4 miles) Celebration of Lights with their tops down in order to PROPERLY view the magnificent Christmas decorations.

Last year a few of us met before hand for dinner. If you are interested in joining us let me know by posting here and we'll find somewhere for all of us to eat.

If not .... I know of at least a couple of loopies .... errr...ummmm... I mean BRAVE SOLS that will attend.

The Celebration Of Lights
Hartwood Acres [ venue info ]
11/16/2007 through 1/6/2008

The "Celebration Of Lights" is an outdoor illuminated spectacle displayed along a 3.5-mile stretch of roadway leading up to the stunning mansion at Hartwood. Visitors are able to view the displays from their cars. More than 2 million lights shine on holiday-themed figures standing three to 40 feet tall.

This event helps raise money for Project Bundle-Up, Salvation Army program which provides new coats, gloves and other cold-weather clothing to children and senior citizens.

Donations are $10 per carload. For more information, call (877) 548-3874.

It's just the cold air that freezes your eyeballs that give you that look

Okay everyone ... only 2 more weeks until Celebration of Lights.

So far here are the loopies ... errr ... the attendees:

MomsSol
XMM and Mrs. XMM
Wartie and Mrs. Wartie

Any other takers? We will probably go out for dinner prior to the drive thru.

Oh .... and I read somewhere else that the donation this year is $12 per car.

(I can promise - well with 99.99% certainty - that there will not be a surprise visitor from upper WI )

Okay!

Here are the final plans ... be there or be square!

Saturday, December 8th
5:00 pm Max and Erma's in Gibsonia
Directions for Max & Erma's

Dinner/Fun/Conversation until 6:30ish

20 minute drive to Hartwood Acres - arrive approx. 7 pm

$12 donation per car - paid at the end of the drive thru. - money goes to Project BundleUp.

Drive Thru takes approx. 45 minutes IIRC ... we should be all on our way home by 8 pm - unless we want to stop for Hot Chocolate!
