No I did not misspell, must commence major garage reorganization

Happy Faces - Tootie and SoCool Jr (Thinks the HHR is his since the Solstice is off limits)

Thanks everyone, I am really hoping that it works out for our needs. Tootie seems happy with it so far and the color combination is outstanding. Have to get used to detailing the dark color, my "cool" is easy next to black.

So

those are starting to grow on me. I think they look better than the PT and you can get the 2.0 DI engine. Nice.

Right now...my wife is getting 23-25 mpg around town....30-31 on the road. The gas mileage has seemed to increase the more she has driven it. She has a little over 3000 miles on the 2.4.

Not my car, wife wants a station wagon not a race car as she called it. Opposites attract, what can I say.

No....we drove one, tho. A red auto SS with red/blk Sport seats.
I really prefered the chrome trim and body style of the 2LT compared to the boxier SS.
Plus my wife wanted the Auto for her daily driver. There is quite a loss in HP with the 2.0 turbo HHR SS with the automatic compared to the 5 speed(35 hp..if I remember correctly). Driving it seemed like quite a power loss compared to the GXP. For peak performance ...the 5 speed is a must in the HHR SS configuration. However..neither tranny makes it perform anything like a GXP. Evidentally weight and FWD kills it.
On the other hand...the regular HHR with the 2.4 is a decent economical driver...and can be dressed up with nice leather..sunroof....sound system...and comes with some nice built- in features. Really a great buy for what it is. Roomy..but not a bigger bulkier SUV...and not too small. I drive the Sol...but even enjoy driving the HHR as well. IMO..it's a neat comfortable driver.

I agree GreyFox, not as comfy as the Tahoe we are giving up, but more than acceptable. We have all of the options except 6 cd changer. I saw my wife driving back to work after meeting at lunch and had to admit that the black with the chrome grabs your attention. Pleased so far. Mileage in Pgh is a relative thing. The 2.4 is better for the hills and hauling three people + stuff around here. The 24 mph avg speed does not help either. Municipalities around here never met a corner that didn't need a stop sign / traffic light
