I called and verified that we can just pay $15 cash at the gate and give them our forms and that we will be there by 9 am.

Wish we could be there. Just too far away and found out too late. This is what we are making the car for to honor our vets and troops.

Colorado - There was a 57 Chevy, a 68 Camero and a Vette, not sure of the year decorated in the Vet theme. The 57 had re and white stripes in between the chrome on the rear fender.

The camero had art work representing all the services all over the body and some under hood work as well.

The vette had two shadow boxes - one with all the old medals vets could earn before WWII. The other box had all the current ribbons, and the rating emblems for all the services.

It was a good day the 3 Sols got their share of attention, but it would have been nice to see more representation. Joe and Joe jr took pictures.

WHERE WAS EVERYONE!

I was at the VA Medical Center treating veterans, I did not get out until pretty late in the afternoon. Sorry, Critt.

See ya soon. Think Lambo. Joe Jr. and I detail our cars and took some pictures, he should be posting them soon along with ones from the big event.

Chuck

There wasn't any except door prises. We left around 2:30. It was the first time they had done this and they need to get organized. I'm going to stop at that...

I think the basic idea was to collect money for injured vets and their families not so much as a show but a place to show your car. Instead of money going for trophies it goes to the injured troops in rehab. At least that was my take.
