Everyone is talking about doing a Southern Maryland meet and going to Gilligan's Pier in mid August to early September. It would be on a Saturday since lil goat came up with the ides and he can't come on Sundays...

Aug 25 -
Moe Stringz 3pm - 7pm / Sweetwater 8pm - 12am

Gilliagan's Pier is a seafood restaraunt and steak house, located on the Maryland side of the Patomac, south of Laplata, north of Dahlgren after crossing the Harry Nice Bridge on Rt 301. It has a beach and indoor and outdoor sections. I've been there once and had a pretty good time.....

Up-date:

Majority rules, Aug 25th it is...

Attending:

Go-N Def
smartin
Chuckdoc
Deepbluegxp (maybe)
ctyanke
Critterman

I can't do September 8th, going to see the Red Bull Solstice Race in New Jersey, all are welcome.

Been to Gilligan's many times, did a cruise there last summer all attending had a great time. They have great Maryland Crabs. I think the coolest thing is the tables out in the water, with umbrellas the wait staff wades out takes your order and wades back with it. I recommend water shoes the bottom is a bit muddy and rocky. People ride up on jet skis and get off and sit at a table it's just cool. Wear shorts or a swim suit.

There is no band the afternoon of the 18, only the 9:00, maybe the 25th would be better. I may cruise out there this weekend if any of you modders get done early. Or you guys want to swing by for the late show let me know. It is in Southern Md.

Got the map from Deep it's he lives very close to Gilligans' Pier I am going to swing by there on the way home form the mod meet. I will basically drive by Gilligans on the way to Deep's so why not stop on the way back.

Gilligan's Pier is about 45 to an hour from Deepbluegxp's depending on traffic.

Do you have to cross the Harry Nice to drive home?

I had lunch there today. Love the place. I'm thinking of seeing the Elvis guy this weekend.

Yes I do, but its a really NICE bridge so I don't mind. Takes me over an hour if traffic is good. But 218 out of F'burg is a great road. I hope everyone can make it.

Looks like the 25th is going to be the day.

Here's a couple of shots I took last year from the back of Gilligan's. The subject is my old supervisor's son, he was hamming it up for the camera all day...
