It won't be long now folks! Lookin forward to a caravan of SSR's and SOL's together! Drove a red aggressive and man, what a blast that was. Wife not too keen on getting a third ride to just autocross with so I guess I will have to envy you all for a while. I was impressed with how it stuck to the road on the turns. NOt impressed with the thin quality of the sheet metal and all the plastic, but then, I guess that is how they kept the price down. Did find a local dealer willing to sell at MSRP. Wait till you hear all those rides start up in the early morning. Last year it was quite a "Growl" for the neighbors to hear. They should really enjoy seeing all the SOL's too! Get ready to rev it up my friends. I will have the hose ready for you to wipe the bug splats off. Can't wait to see all of your cool cars and meet you.

I'd love to be there in my new Sol but I rather doubt that it will be ready by the 29th . According to my dealer it's due to be built on the 17th. But then he was also supposed to have had it built on March 27th and that didn't happen. I don't think he even put the order in once he saw the constraints on the chrome wheels. I called him Saturday from up here in NY and deleted my order for OnStar put kept the accustic top, and there's still a 60% constraint on the wheels. We'll see. If the car isn't ready I guess I'll drive down to VA Beach and meet some of my fellow forum members.

Dor: If don't have it by then, no worries. Your just down the road at Yorktown and the VB show is always very entertaining for all ages. HEck, they may even have the GXP model there to see. Last year they had a Saturn Sky on display long before its debut. I'll never forget it. It looked like a min corvette.

Finally posting about this (been pre-occupied with work and taxes!). We are going down that weekend, probably convoying with PAO, SMARTIN, et al. on Friday morning. After rush hour was our thinking, and maybe take back roads (in other words, NOT 95) like 17 down? Anyway, we are looking forward to seeing everyone there! We won't be in the show but we've got hotel reservations already - now Mother Nature just has to cooperate!

I would take 17 to Fredericksburg, Catch a bit of 95 at the Fredericksburg area, and then pick up 64 just outside of Richmond. 17 is a great ride, just watch your speed because it is lovely country but lots of speed traps. When I first got my SSR I was following a new Corvette and when I looked at my speedo I was doing over 100 and had no idea we were going that fast. Be aware and be careful. Just enjoy the view with your t
