I used to go to concerts at a place called Melody Fair or something like that in N. Tonawanda. That was back in the early 80's. I am a mod fever type of guy...but I always have to struggle with in when I buy a new vehicle. There are somethings I am thinking about....exhaust maybe, for starters. I like to work on things...but my present living accomadation do not enclude a garage.....so I may wait till I move into a house that has one....
I lived there until 1983, joined the Navy and the rest was history. Came back in 1984 to marry my wife, going on 24 years. For an exhaust, go Solo Performance Mach and get a Solo CAT also. You won't reqret it.

IThank you! Sounds like fun. I don't see any reason at present that would keep me from attending.

The first one should be getting rid of the front license bracket and putting on a Davies Corvette Foldable Plate.
Yeah, the factory plate is kinda ruining my beautiful front end. I got the hideaway one. I'm assuming you have one. Is there a preferred mounting method or any tips you could give me?

To Install, The paperwork included is good info, read it.
Tips:
Drive up on ramps to make access easier. You will need to drill three holes.
Put masking tape on the center and hold the bracket up with the plate extended.
Use some heavy densite foam on the back of the plate holder just above the groves/indent. That will prevent it from chafing on your bumper.
The plastic you will drill in is thin and the aft hole location are close to the intercooler. Put tape on the drill about a 1/4 from the tip to use as a depth guide.
The front edge of the bracket needs to stick out enogh to allow the plate holder to stand up.

I may just take you up on the offer. Thank you. I'll probably wait till my personalized plates get here, which should be in a few weeks. I had this idea........using a small electric motor to deploy the plate. Retracting it would be too difficult, but I could make it deploy when pulled over..........

Maybe we can figure this out together. We had been discussing doing that for over a year, just haven't had time to, almost thought WrkHard was going to do it because he had borrowed ChuckDoc's plate holder but he was too busy also . I was thinking about using a retractable radio antenna motor that we mount to a switch. The motor is 39 bucks at Autozone.
