Thank, I will give it a try. My wheel wells are covered about 1/8 inch of hangy hairy rubber. It was worth it though. After, we sprayed the next couple of cars with PAM. (joe decided butter flavor would be good). I just wish we had done it with mine.
Frank (SRT-4) and I had a blast. Thanks Dee & Joe and family, you guys are awesome! Hope to see you sometime in the not to distant future
and for all those that asked, here is the recipe for the beans, Enjoy!
Calico Beans
Ingredients:
1/4 lb. Bacon
1 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 cup Onion
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Ketchup
2 tbsp. Vinegar
1 tsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Dry Mustard Powder
1 can Butter Beans (drained)
1 can Kidney Beans (use juice)
1 can Pork & Beans (use juice)
Directions:
Brown bacon, ground beef, and onion in a large skillet; drain off grease and pour into
a baking dish, add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2
hours. Or, after browning place all ingredients in crock pot and simmer for 3-4 hours
until beans soften.
Well, now that it is over and I going to miss everyone that came down. I'm not sure when we'll do another one since the SEM is in April and normally the plant tours are in May.
I'm going to do my best to recap what I did this weekend and the fun we had. It was all a blur. I can't believe it is Tuesday already. There was 27 cars scheduled to be there, one no show. There were 8 between Saturday and Sunday that weren't signed up for or registered on the forum, those included pople from from Erie PA, Philadelphia PA, Hollywood MD, Westriver MD, Dunkirk MD, Lexington Park MD, Somewhere, VA and Lusby MD. I'm glad you came to the meet. If you didn't make it, you sure missed a great time. At mid day Saturday we all seen our first WICKED GXP. Beautiful car.
Friday evening, Srt-4 and his GF, Antonio and his GF, SolChris, Midlife, ChuckDoc, Cheers, my sister-n-law and nephew, Dave & Randy from DDM Works and Joe from JPM Coachworks arrived. We were up until 1:30 am. (at least that is the time I went to bed) ChuckDoc brought an awning so this time we had two to be able to sit in the shade. It was up to 80 degrees and sunny what a great weekend.
Midlife had made some awsome Tiki drinks down at the cabin and Dark Tech really enjoyed them.
The next morning, up at 6am to finish setting up and getting bagels and coffee going. Deedle (my wife) did an awesome job all weekend keeping the kitchen open and plates full. She had set up bagels, croissants, fruit, coffee etc. Once everyone was alive, I think we started working on cars about 8:30. More people starting arriving. I helped Randy pull Critterman's hood so they could work on the Supercharger. Cheers car went into the garage for the springs and brakes change. JPM and a few others started pulling drivers seats. I think by the end of the night, 9 seats were upgraded. At one time there was 4 seats sitting on the driveway and Deedle mentioned a "look a 4 seater Solstice" by this time there was 9 cars in the driveway and one in the garage, the street was almost full and my neighbors were letting cars park there in their driveways. I was moving from car to car doing the turn signal mods to cars. There is no way I could have completed 16 cars with turn signal mods with out the fantastic help of Holeshot134. Many Thanks! I was able to take Busa2bad's car and adjust his window down so it wouldn't hit the fabric when he closed the door. I also installed the folding license bracket on 07Clone's car. It was a challenge due to the GXP front end was installed on an NA and the bottom surface wasn't flat. Midlife did some cool GXP decals on his car, JPM pulled his silver humps and put leather on it. Very cool looks awesome. I installed his lighted windrestrictor. We tried to fix one car's buttress that wasn't releasing and made a tool to release the buttress, ChuckDoc was able to get it to release but we could figure out why it wasn't working. I can't remember whose car it was, but if you want to come back, we have some other ideas and time to fix it. I had the JPM seat belt fabric holder installed and the driver’s seat upgrade.
Dave and Randy had their hands full with the brake upgrades and probeam installs. There isa lso a new product they have for stiffening the front and the center of the car. I'll let them explain.
We finally left for a run about 3:45 to the beach. We had 25 cars on the beach, there was a few that left for the day and couple remained at the house working. After the photos at the beach, we headed to the Famous Solomon’s Tiki Bar. This weekend was Patuxent River Appreciation so Solomon's Island area was packed with tourists. We passed in front of the Tiki Bar, went to a turn about circle, beeping and yelling as we passed each other and the passed the front of the Tiki bar again and parked in the back. From what I heard, people at the Tiki bar were cheering as we drove by. As we left to head back, we got stopped on the main road in front of the boardwalk for over a half hour due to a fire at a museum.
Sunday, I was able to get Chuckdoc's GENK30 mirror installed. This was super easy so if you (non onstar users) want the details. PM me. Monday I worked on Smartin's engine cover and painted my door, ebrake, steering wheel controls brackets. what a great time
I didn't get to install the Dejon spring on Morpheus car, so I'll bring it to the meet in January.
I did much more but I can't remember it all. If I missed something or didn't mention you, I'm sorry.
Thanks to everyone for coming, bringing food, and sharing their weekend with us.

Well, just got back after a detour in Virginia to visit family.
Let me start by adding in another huge thanks to Joe and Dee for hosting the event. I felt more than welcome in their home and among their company. I don't think it's possible to have a bad time with this crew.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone there and work on what items we had time to do. Next time I'll have to bring more help
Big thanks to Dave and Randy from DDM Works. Excellent people to caravan with. You guys added loads to my entertainment for the weekend. Just let me know when the next lemons race is
Joe Jr, huge thanks for your help. I think half of us there were depending on you for put together/take apart jobs that let us double our work load. You really went the extra mile on a lot of things.
Anyway, i'm off to bed for some much needed rest. Until next time...
Doc for sure, everyone expects a vette to put up a cloud
besides he wants it more, in lew of a tatto

THANKS JPM! It was 34 when I left my house for work this morning at 4:30 AM the seat heater is awesome!
