I want to sincerely apologize for taking off without Lil'Oggi!!! I should have taken a count and known who was last in line before I took off. I was first in line at the exit (obviously) and had just assumed (ASS-ME-ME!!!) that everyone was lined up.
Again, my sincere apologies.
And to address the 800 pound gorilla in the room...
My hopes were it would be a no worries, no hurries sort of day. Alas, that was not to be.
There was a tragic loss of a family pet today. It happened to a family none of us know. They simply lived along the route we took and their dog ran into the middle of our line.
My heart goes out to them... especially to the children. But, IMHO, none of us were to blame. We can feel badly about it, but none of us should feel guilty about it. The dog made the mistake and paid the ultimate price for it. What was said by the family was said in pain. I'm sure they realize the truth of it all by now.
Again, my heart goes out to that family. I pray for their peace of mind, but as we all know, this is something that probably won't leave them anytime soon.
G-d bless them with peace regarding this tragedy. G-d bless all of you with peace as well.

Dan...the run today was great! The scenery was awesome...and the timing with the weather could not have been better! It started raining about 2 exits from my house. That was well organized, well planned, and is much appreciated by myself and Simone.
So Spiky when exactly is yours anyway? That's some rock you gave Simone.
The wedding is going to be a Kappa event right? - Inquiring minds want to know

Tragically, this is another one of those cases when a fence or leash could have avoided another families heartache, I'm not sure about LI but in many areas it's also the law.

We made it back a little after 10:00 PM last night, I dropped my honey off at the condo with luggage and then put Lil' Ruthie away in her secret hiding spot.
("T" knows but she has been sworn to secrecy, right "T"....)
Anyway finally hit the sack about 11:00 PM and back up this morning at 4:30 for my two hour commute to work this morning.
Thanks again everyone we really had a blast and look forward to the next time we get to hang with you all.
I'm still shooting for the Gold Coast Run the end of September - I should know for sure my work schedule after August 20th.
