I'm so very sorry we left you behind. I never realized you weren't with us until I stopped at the end of the run so the radios could be returned! By that time there was no recovery.
It really wasn't a big deal- I expected half the group to be gone when I got back from my water run. There were just a few extra people missing!
Benton & Lil'Oggi,
Welcome and congratulations! I look forward to meeting you both in the near future.

Hi Everyone:
I guess I'm just about the newest member of these forums. I bought the car last Friday and drove it 700 miles home on the first day! (I've been reading your posts and I don't think I have the lowest mileage, even compared to some of the first 1K owners!) On the way back to NY from Ohio I wanted to quit for the night but there were no hotel rooms to be had. Pennsylvania was booked, so I slept in the car in a Holiday Inn parking lot. I don't recommend it. I missed my van that night.
My wife has wanted this car for more than a year but our local dealers are nuts. They never call back, they tack 2 to 3 grand on to the sticker and they offer 1 year and over wait times. We were looking for a Mean or Aggressive GXP online last week and saw an Ohio dealer with the Brazen Orange for sale on e-Bay. A couple of phone calls and a flight to Columbus later and I was driving home with my wife's 25th. Wedding Anniversary present.
We look forward to other events. Wish we could have been there to show off Lil'Oggi. (We have a cat named Lil'Oggi. He was the lovable runt of the litter and the only orange kitten of six. Denise kept calling him the Little Orange Guy. . . Little O.G. . . . Lil'Oggi. The Solstice is the smallest and most orangey car in our litter, so if NYSDMV has it available, LIL OGGI will be the license plate.)
We're looking forward to club style events . . . runs, picnics, parking lot cruise-ins, rallyes. To borrow from our Mini friends - Let's Motor!
Chris Zizzo
Congratz on your new ride, cant wait to see the color.....

Ya, I'm gonna have the car tomorrow afternoon, but I got to doing math to get there for 8AM, and there is no way. First boat leaves NL at 5:30 then a two hour trip to LI, then to get to the meet-up point.
Let me know when there's a Cape Cod run or something, I'll be down for that.

Not for nothin', but we did this run a few days ago. I really don't want to be rude, but please read more of the thread and don't try to head down here as there won't be anyone at the Starbucks. (well, there won't be a half dozen Sky's and Sol's!)
