Sorry to hear about your cars Steve and Paul, i'm sure they will look good as new when fixed. Glad you guys are ok!!! Karen, I love that fishing boat, the strippers are awesome!!! Lol!!
I started off at Captree where I met up with Joe R. and his beautiful, brand new, 2008 GXP. Shiny then showed up with her pony car escort team . . . "She'll be drivin' two big horses when she comes, when she comes . . ." That girl's a queen, let me tell you. Oh yeah, speaking of which, Reed was still in bed, but we texted to meet for lunch. I went to pick up Denise and Shiny showed up at the Hauppaugue Palace Diner (our old meeting hall) to join us.
We took some calendar pix and some not-so-much-calendar pix.
Here's Karen selling it:
Denise practising for a job in Macy's window:
Reed doing some in-depth electronic engine analysis:
His practiced technique for getting better XM satellite reception just blew me away:
Aren't they a cute couple?:
While Dee and I went off to the Bald Hill Show, Karen climbed a little bald hill of her own when she took Reed shopping for boots. Damn, some guys have all the fun!

By the time we got to Bald Hill, the show was winding down and they were awarding prizes and raffles. Still, there were some nice cars:
This GTO looked like it was ready to launch when it was standing still. Great color, too.:
This perfect Willys takes firsts at every show.:
That's 2 Holley 4 barrels venting through a Nitrous Oxide injection plate into a huge Weiand supercharger. Whew!:
I saw this car at the Hicksville show. It may be my favorite for all the ingenuity and clever use of materials. It classes in many shows, believe it or not, as a rat rod.:
How old does a car have to be to enter as an antique? 25 years? This Lamborghini Countach is 26!:
Those are 6 two barrel side draft carbs that have to be synchronized manually. No injection, no computer control.:
Here is where the car looks dated:
Not so great in 0-60 times but it can cruise at 200 mph all day says it's pilot owner.:
It still looks like a stealth fighter to this day.:
The doors (Lambo for Lamborghini) swivel straight up and don't swing out at all.:

Here's a puzzle for you. Does anybody know where this flat blue Solstice came from? I'll give you a hint. It's a 2006 NA and it used to be much more colorful. Here's another hint. Some of the mods are kinda temporary and falling apart with use. Check out the carbon fiber pillar posts while you're at it.:

Here's the same color on a 2007 SEMA only GXP-R in the 2006 show:
And here's our 2006 NA in her original colors at the 2005 SEMA show. Currently owned by a young woman who posts on GM Addiction.com, it is slated for restoration to it's original trim. Apparently the fella in North Carolina she bought it from was attempting to upgrade the color by one year but forgot to add the glossy. Note the fenders have been changed out.
Let me be the first to say:
