Thank you Sarge

I won't be around for a while due to work and other scheduled events. Tomorrow I am walking a 5k to benefit Independent Group Home Living (IGHL). It helps the developmentally disabled learn everyday tasks that you and I take for granted. I support them because they are a client so I trust they are doing the right thing with their proceeds.

I know it's short notice and didn't want to bug you all, but if anyone would like to sponsor me here is my page...

Karen...that WR looks really nice. I just took my old one out and put in a new V2. It installs on the inside behind the seats and does not warp when the top is up like the V1. The V2 is also much thicker, almost twice as thick actually. Sarge is really good at the wiring...he did mine for me.

Isn't the V2 held on with Velcro? I was worried this might be visible form the cockpit (of course only if some one as anal as me looks).

I think I'm ready to start doing some perfomance mods. I picked up the K&N this weekend. I also just bought a new ECM so I can save my stock tune jsut in case.

My question is, which tune would you recommend, (GMPP, Westers, or something Else)? Which would provide better performance, a cat back or an IC. Which exhaust is the best bang for the buck? Does anyone have an HP tuner? Does this group get together for Mod days?

Sorry for all the newbie questions. Hope to see some of you at OBI this weekend.

To answer your questions:

1. The V2 is held on by Velcro, very strong Velcro, but the seats cover most of it. I am very OCD and I don't mind it.

2. The best tune out there is Westers...hands down.

3. A cat-back and intercooler provide different types of gains. If you haven't modded anything yet, most people go with an exhaust first. After you start modifying the engine, then you can go for the intercooler. DDM offers a great intercooler setup that includes IC piping, the intercooler, and a true cold-air intake with shrouding. It is called their Mach II setup. I have it in my car. As for exhaust, I work for Solo Performance and could hook you up with a really nice exhaust that meets whatever sound and power needs you are looking for.

4. I have HP Tuners, and as far as I know, I am the only person with the actual software in the LI club. I have tuned everyone in the LI clubs car with the Westers tune.

5. We have a meeting at the diner in Massapequa every second Sunday of each month. 1sgt and I organized a mod meet in January where DDM and Solo came. Some of us travel to other events out of NY. I went to the mod meet in Maryland last May, and will be going to the next one in October in Maryland. A few others such as 1sgt and Lil Oggi organize really beautiful runs. Skyhighny and reedred attend many of the runs that are out of state.

I got up at 5:00 and cleaned the car, was out of the house by 6 and at OBI by 6:40. There wasn't a single Kappa there. Sorry, I got the signals crossed. I hope to see you guys at the diner in a couple of weeks.

So, I guess you're not over there now! I was going to drop by there now. Is everybody gone? It goes 'til 6, no?
