I don't know how you guys got posted on this thread. When I used AChieftan's link (Mod post in Part II) it tokk me to a single post by 1sgt with no response links. I used the "quote" button to find you guys.
Top down for 2 days so far, and today almost got by without heat on the parkway!
Got on it a bit last night on the Northern State and passed a Smokey with his ears on.
By the time he pulled out and turned on the lights I was even with the next exit, so I jumped off. He went by and I took a street route home.
Pep - if your car is an '07, or an '06 you bought new in '07, you didn't get an OBDII test. If it did get the diagnostic workup and you had the battery disconnected in the last two weeks, you've either done 14 days of serious driving or there is a memory in the processor that will hold the setup through a battery disconnect. If the battery was disconnected for only a short time, that might be it.
wE hope to see you and your wife Sunday Lil'oggi . We asked them to do a part 3 . We have alot to talk about Sunday so it would be great if everyone could try and make it .

The main info stays stored in the ecm just like your computer at home, you turn it off at night than turn it back on in the morning your main info is all there stored in memory banks than it makes adjustments with the main stored info.Otherwise if our batteries died and needed replacing we'd all be screwed.

May I suggest something for the 2008 calendar?
Can we repeat the the first run we did on it's anniversary? Do the same thing... dozin shows up with little to no fuel... leave Gino and Richfly to take the second ferry... everything the same.

We need better communication! I work out of my house and am available whenever I'm not traveling. I was top down and ripped up the roads today! It was WONDERFUL!!!
We should have all gotten together for a mini-run, lunch or something.

It's an 8 hour drive from Long Island...If I go, I will be staying over on Friday night.
Very interesting, but the distance turns this into a three full day event.
When I took my car to Solo (in Buffalo, NY), I came back past Syracuse (had evening business just East of there). The next morning, since I had all day, I set my GPS to "shortest route" rather than "shortest time". The resulting ride through the mountains was several hours of a phenomenal drive!
If we put our heads to it, we should be able to map out a truly awesome drive... and not have to drive a full day just to get to it.

Go to Google Earth and look at the roads in the mountains around a town called Margaretville, NY. I came through there when I did my mountain run with the Solstice.
I wish I would have kept my GPS track from that trip, but from the looks of the satellite images it doesn't matter. We could get ourselves lost in those mountains and have a ball!!!
And it could even be a single day trip!
We should string together a bunch of the nastiest mountain roads we can find and make a run this Spring. AFTER the salt and sand is washed away by Spring rains of course!
If you want to go on a multi-day trip. Take a look at the roads in the mountains in the North Hudson, NY vicinity. Some of them look INCREDIBLE!
And don't get me started on some of the roads you can see in Eastern MA, VT and NH!!!
Xmicro could help us. He must know all those roads. He's lives Upstate.
