We went out for Cuban food last night at Cafe Havana in Smithtown. Excellent Mojitos (a whole menu of them as well as martinis), Ceviche, Paella.
Great food, upscale atmosphere, live music, valet parking, so leave your baby home! 4 people, $200+tip. Interesting and varied menu, several hispanic customers, including some very hot looking latina women dressed to the nines. They must be doing something right.

Also, Farmingdale's Main Street, closer to the golf course, is loaded with bars and restaurants, especially at the end near the RR tracks. You can easily check it out since its nearby. It ought to be really hopping by the time the Open is in town.

According to my beautiful 2009 LISSC Calendar, we were having a Nautilus Monthly Meeting, so I just showed up since I wasn't near my computer. It was really nice to see Joanne, Stephanie, Andy, and Steve.
Chris, you're right....I was at Old Westbury Gardens. I saw your car, but I didn't see you or Barry. Tom and I got there late in the afternoon, so we breezed through the cars, the house, and the gardens. So much to see; so little time.
Now that the weather is nice I thought it would be fun to get together on a Friday night at Cedar Beach (just down a short distance from OBI). They have a cruise night every Friday from 5 p.m. til sunset. Live music and food from Beach Hut are a plus. Anyone interested?

It was on the calendar, and I was the first to post the question whether people were going or not. I got a call from Ivan saying a few people werent going, but since it was on the calendar and some people were already there, I went. This was one of the scheduled diner meetings that you posted to me about last week when I asked if anyone wanted to go last weekend. See post #388 that I wrote.
