Modding BEFORE you take delivery. That's got to be some kind of record, even for you.
When you buy a car like the Camaro, and my 4 cylinder Turbo sounds beefier......that is a big problem. GM made the Camaro very refined.....too refined for my taste.............I NEED DEEEEEEEEEP MUSCLE CAR SOUND MAN.
Does anyone have any feedback on these pads for a direct repalcement pad, but better performance than the stock set? Thinking of ordering these.

Kappasphere sells Hawk pads. What is Roster? Rooster?
They say these Hawk pads are suitable for racing. I was looking at the "Red Stuff" pads. Anyone know anything?

Hawk has some great pads...I use them on the front and the rear. Here is your answer Chris:
Hawk has three different pads for our car...HP+, HPS, and Ceramic.
I had the ceramics in front and they were great...good stopping power and very low brake dust...no noise.
With the DDM calipers, I had to use a special Hawk HPS pad, and they are also great. I use them on the rears also. I used to have the HP+ in the rear, and they were the best at stopping, but made a ton of noise. The noise is hit or miss with each car, but mine made a lot of noise. I recomment the combination of HPS F and R, or ceramic F and HPS R.

Ceramic pads are the best:
Why Ceramic Brake Pads
Ceramic brake pads have become the braking industry’s buzzword these days with everyone going for the ceramic brake pads. So why ceramic brake pads?
Ceramic brake pads are generally quieter and lower dusting than most OEM pads and organic based brake pads. Many ceramic formulations offer extremely low dusting characteristics, preventing dust from accumulating on your wheels.
Since they were first used on a few original equipment applications in 1985, friction materials that contain ceramic formulations have become recognized for their desirable blend of traits. Instead of the semi-metallic pad’s steel fibers, the ceramic braking pads make use of the ceramic compounds and copper fibers. This allows the ceramic pads to handle high brake temperatures with less heat fade, provide faster recovery after the stop, and generate less dust and wear on both the brake pads and rotors.
Moreover, the ceramic compounds in the ceramic brake pads make the braking much quieter. This happens as the ceramic compounds help dampen noise by generating a frequency that is beyond the human hearing range.
Ceramic pads meet or exceed all original equipment standards for durability, stopping distance and noise. According to durability tests, ceramic compounds extend brake life compared to most other semi-metallic and organic materials and outlast other premium pad materials by a significant margin – with no sacrifice in noise control, pad life or braking performance
Choosing the true ceramic brake pads
Ceramic brake pads are an excellent choice for most vehicles, but there are different quality levels when it comes to ceramic pads. Many companies are now developing so called ceramic pads that are nothing more than an organic pad with a small amount of ceramic content that is coated over the top of the brake pad. Brakeworld.com only carries true ceramic pads that contain ceramic formula throughout the entire pad. In our opinion the best performing ceramic pad with the highest level of ceramic content is the “Ceramicool” brake pad. The Ceramicool brake pad is the quietest pad we have ever experienced, as well as one of the lowest dusting.
Ceramicool™ is a revolutionary "true" organic ceramic formulation designed for cool, clean, quiet and long lasting operation for all vehicles. Ceramicool™ provides the ultimate in braking friction technology designed as replacement pads for OE ceramic applications or as premium upgrade for all friction materials. Ceramicool™ is the "true" ceramic formulation. While other friction manufacturers claim to have "ceramic formulations", they are often nothing more than existing semi-metallic formulations with small amounts of ceramic particles introduced into the mix. Don't be fooled by "ceramic enhanced", trust the "true" ceramic formulation...trust Ceramicool™-true ceramic brake pad

I could`nt find them on GM roadster,
Thanks for all the input, I`m leaning towards the Hawks, HPS, for front and rear.

Rich,
Go ceramic in front and HPS in the rear. Stopping power is very good and there will be less beake dust and noise. It's the combination I had before I HAD to change the front pads to fit the new calipers.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Happy Belated B-Day Joe!
If anyone is interested in seeing some great sports cars, the Fifth Annual Vintage European Sports Car and Motorcycle Display is this Saturday, July 11, from Noon to 4:00 (rain date July 12) at the Stony Brook Community Church, 216 Christian Avenue (the street next to the Three Village Inn). It's always a nice show and free for spectators. There is a $15 donation for participants of the show, 689-6786 for information.

Oh yeah . . . well why don't you move to New Jersey then, since you love it so much!
Have fun, Karen!
Chris, you be nice! I was one of the people that came to watch you AutoX remember?

I am thinking about it Solli, but we are running into my busy season at work so my calendar will be limited. I can take a day off to do other people's runs, but planning one is a whole other animal.
Plus I assume your Saturday off in September is being taken by the Skylands run?
