Location: Long Island, NY... a sister island to the Hawaiian chain. ;-)
We New Yorkers are a picky bunch. This is the place that coined the phrase "immediate gratification".
We don't want to hear "Let's get together and we'll have fun". Oh no! We'll have none of that! Our time is way too valuable. We could be off getting gratified somewhere.
We need to know the following:
- What type of fun? Be specific and catagorize.
- Exactly how much fun, by catagory, are we talking about here?
- Will there be models?
- Celebrities?
- Entertainment?
- Finger foods?
- Who's the caterer?
- Will there be quality Tee Shirts/Souvenirs? What am I saying, this is Long Island... we'll need embroidered Polo shirts. And our insignia needs to be classy. Maybe we can save some money by holding an insignia contest at FIT and let them come up with something for us.
- Nice leather jackets is a thought.
So, get us a list of celebrities and catalog of what merchandise will be available. Don't go crazy on the catalog ... doesn't need to be thick with pages for the very first meeting. We'll let you slide with a 5 or 10 page pamphlet at first.
We should all get together and do lunch one day to discuss.

I'd be up for it. The DE folks are great, but my Sky needs to make some friends closer to home! There was brief discussion on the Sky forum of planning a meet & run in the Spring, but as you can see, it's pretty vague at this point.
1sgt, did you have any specific ideas in mind?

What happens at Captree tomorrow morning (Sunday)?
Hey Guys, I`m one of the 2 GXP`s seen at Captree State Park last Sunday. If you live on the island you have to ride down to the beach on sunday mornings ( no rain ). I`d like to get together and meet everyone so we could start organizing some rides for the summer. Let me know if anyone is interested in meeting for a morning ride to breakfast or whatever.
