Lowes Car Cruise Abingdon MD

The local Lowes here in Abingdon, MD, has a FRI night cruise every FRI from April to November. Kinda like a car show without prizes.

I went last FRI (8/22) with my Sol. I'd say 80% of the cars are vintage of sorts, with Chevelles being the #1 car. About 20% are newer, some Mustangs, new Vettes, a couple of Vipers, Chargers, etc.

I did get quite a few questions once the walk-ins start coming in. Thought it might be nice in the future to get some Sols there in force. It's low key, just a chance to see lots of neat cars.

Interested? I think Rusty might be able to make it......

How about AUG 29th or SEP 5th? If the weather is good, it's a great way to spend a summer evening. We could arrange some eats afterwards.

The 8/29 meeting will be a little quiter than usual, there is another car show in town (at Harford Community College) and the DJ will be there......so 9/5 might be better.

9/5 looks best for Rusty, so let's target that date for now.

I went about 5:15 last week but that was too early.

I think If we met about 5:45-6:00 nearby (Target Greatland Parking Lot, on the left just before Lowes), we could drive over to Lowes in force about 6:15pm or so, and there would still be plenty of room for us to gather the Kappas in one spot.

Well let's see what the weather is like, now it looks pretty good.

And yes, I think I could do both FRIs (9/5 and 9/12) right now.

Actually for some reason this shows up on the Map next to WalMart, but TG is just past WalMart on the left. Let's meet at 6:15 pm at TG at the far end of the lot, nearest Walmart. Then we can drive over to Lowes, only a few yards further down the road.

Rusty, I'll PM you my cell #. I will be cutting it a little close, as I have to get my kids home from soccer practices first. Possible a friend of mine with an old metallic blue Camaro Conv., might be waiting at TG too.
