MASSC Aug. 11 Delaware Tubing Run

After the yuengling run yesterday there was a disucssion about doing a tubing trip in late July to help everyone cool off from the mid-summer heat. Attached is the information.

It is $16.95 for a three hour tubing trip including lunch and transportation from the exit point to the starting point in the river. Parking at the exit point is $4.00. I have included a short run in the route, which is attached. After the tubing trip we can head to New Hope, a short distance away, for dinner/drinks etc...

CLICK HERE for details including run maps and a video preview of the day.

I believe it's the Delaware actually Critterman. So that'd be PA/NJ most likely. I haven't looked closely at the maps yet tho.

Yea, starting in Morristown, PA... going down the river in Joisey, then back to New Hope, PA.

If we're going down the river in Joisey, does that mean we should make sure our shots are up to date???

(Just kidding for all you jersey people)

If we were tubing around the lower Hudson into Arthur's Kill, I'd say we most definately would need our shots.

Not too far at all. Maybe 20 miles, or about a 1/2 hour south of Easton.

I couldn't get the video to play even after downloading something to configure w/ Quicktime.

So, is this individual tubing or a group in a tube-type boat? The pic on top of the site shows individual. Is that it?

Last time we went tubing we didn't have such a great time & I ached for three days. That was when I was in MUCH better shape, 35 lbs. lighter about 20 yrs ago. Don't think I'm up to it. Getting older pretty much sucks.
