MASSC Holiday Lights Dinner and Drive - December 6, 2008

DATE: Saturday, December 6th
Meet: Time and Locations to be determined - I may have 2 groups for the drive to Hershey, one North and one South of I-78. Currently looking at backroads for a more scenic drive than just taking the interstate.

We will meet for dinner at 5:00pm at the following location:

Following Dinner we will make the short drive to Hershey Park for the Sweet Lights Display (cost is $20 per car)

I wasn't planning on making it an "organized" overnight event.
But once the final decision is made on which Lights display we will go to, I can post some info on lodging in the area, for anyone who may want to stay over.

Thanks! That is the one we did 2 years ago. We combined it with the Christmas Market and dinner in Bethlehem first.
I'll keep that one in mind too, in case Hershey is too far for folks.

The light show could be on a farm, with lots of mud.
I went to a show one year and it rained the day before.
That resulted in lots of mud puddles.
Fortunately, I was in my van...

I'm gonna look into whether or not they still do it - from what I could find on the internet, they stopped doing it a few years ago. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Yeah, the place we went to last year was on a farm. Fortunately, it was so cold out that the ground was frozen solid.
But that is why this year I am looking at the larger, more commercial displays. Less likely to be a mud pit.
